Are Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton Facing A Rocky Patch In Their Relationship?

Are Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton on the rocks? While all appears to be well for the couple, they may be experiencing relationship strain due to a declined proposal.

Gwen Stefani recently confirmed she was not engaged, nor planning to be, and that may be because she recently turned down the proposal of her boyfriend. According to a recent report, Shelton proposed to Gwen Stefani with a $1.2 million Tiffany engagement ring, but shockingly, she said “no.”

“[Gwen Stefani] was very touched, but said she had to wait to make sure it was right for the kids,” an insider told Radar Online.

As the report alleged, Blake Shelton’s proposal took place during a picnic at Gwen Stefani’s Los Angeles home, and Gwen Stefani claimed her sons, Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo, played a major role in her decision to decline Shelton’s request.

In addition to concern for her children, Gwen Stefani was said to be feeling insecure about the age difference between her and Shelton. While Gwen Stefani is just eight years older than Shelton, she’s 14 years older than his ex-wife, Miranda Lambert. Plus, she reportedly still struggles with trust issues stemming from her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale’s alleged affair with their former nanny.

“[Gwen Stefani] wants to trust Blake, but she fears it could come back and bite her,” claimed the insider.

Gwen Stefani also “believes the time may have passed for her to have another baby,” added the source. And “she’s worried Blake won’t be happy in a marriage where he might never be a father.”

While it is certainly understandable that Gwen Stefani would want her children on board with a potential marriage to Shelton, the Radar Online report may not be completely true. In fact, many reports shared afterwards claim Gwen Stefani and Shelton are planning to tie the knot and have a child of their own.

“It seems that Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are planning to have their own baby and to get married,” Hall of Fame Magazine revealed to readers on June 9. “Blake Shelton has been dreaming of having his own kids for years and Gwen Stefani wants to give him what he has been desiring for.”

Prior to his relationship with Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton was married to fellow country singer Miranda Lambert for four years, but sadly, they had no children together.

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton “talk openly about their future together,” a source told Us Weekly last week. “They say things like, ‘When we get married…’ all the time. [Gwen Stefani] is totally smitten and wants to have a baby with Blake… Gwen is trying to get pregnant.”

During his marriage to Lambert, claimed the source, Shelton was hoping to start a family, but because Lambert was allegedly not on board with the plan, they parted ways in July 2015, just weeks before Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale announced their divorce.

“Blake was dying to have kids,” continued a source, “but Miranda kept putting it off.”

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton began dating a short time after they both split from their former partners – they were filming The Voice at the time – and by November 2015, they had confirmed their romance with a public outing in Nashville after the Country Music Awards, which Lambert also attended.

“[Gwen Stefani] says she wants to give Blake his own kid. She wants a girl!” the source added.
