Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara To Guest Star On ’30 Rock’

Bryan Cranston, the star of the hit crime drama Breaking Bad, is scheduled to appear on an upcoming episode of NBC’s comedy 30 Rock, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Joining the actor for the forthcoming guest stint is frequent Christopher Guest collaborator Catherine O’Hara. It would appear that the final season of Tina Fey’s award-winning show is shaping up to be something memorable.

“We’re going to meet Kenneth’s [family],” Fey recently explained to TV Guide. “Kenneth’s mom will be played by Catherine O’Hara and his mom’s ‘friend’ Ron will be Bryan Cranston.” Unfortunately for both Cranston and 30 Rock fans, the episode air date is currently elusive.

Since wrapping up his stint on Breaking Bad, Cranston has been all over the place. In addition to his scheduled stint on the aforementioned comedy, Cranston recently helmed an episode of The Office for NBC. Sadly, the American version of the hit British television program is in its final season, as well.

The former co-star of Malcolm in the Middle hasn’t limited his recent work to the small screen. This summer, Cranston appeared in Len Wiseman’s Total Recall remake and director Adam Shankman’s Rock of Ages, both of which were considered to be box office disappointments. However, I’m sure that had nothing whatsoever to do with the always-amazing Cranston.

This October, Cranston will appear in Ben Affleck’s Argo, which, according to Internet Movie Database, will follow the exploits of a CIA operative who “concocts a risky plan to free six Americans who have found shelter at the home of the Canadian ambassador.” John Goodman, Alan Arkin, former scream queen Adrienne Barbeau co-star. At present, the flick will hit North American theaters on October 12.

Next year, Cranston will appear in filmmaker Dylan Kidd’s Get a Job with Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Anna Kendrick.
