Bloody Trump Supporter Picture Fake — Screen Test For ‘Ash Vs Evil Dead’

A picture of a bloody woman that was said to be a supporter of Donald Trump has been circulating through conservative online news sites. The picture shows a woman with blood all over her face, forehead, neck, and chest with some obvious abrasions across her chest, and blood smeared into the white of one of her eyes. The caption for this picture has been a one-sided message that simply implies that this woman had been bloodied at the hands of Bernie Sanders supporters.

There is only one problem with this picture of the bloody female “Trump supporter.” It’s not true.

How do we know it isn’t true, you may ask? Well, don’t take our word for it. You should first look at the king of “groovy” B-horror flicks, Bruce Campbell, who had a certain something to say about this picture that has been circulating around social media.

For those who may not know, there is a hit TV series on Starz that is based off a string of cult-horror films that have spawned from the Evil Dead franchise with Bruce Campbell. That TV show is Ash vs Evil Dead and it is about to enter its second season on the premium cable network. That means that production for Season 2 of Ash vs Evil Dead is currently in process.

The woman you see in that picture is none other than Samara Weaving, an actress who was undergoing a screen test for the production of Season 2 of Ash vs Evil Dead. The blood on her face – fake. The abrasions on her chest – fake. The blood in her eyes – fake. Her support for GOP candidate Donald Trump – fake. The conservative outlets that posted this picture claiming the bloody woman to be a Trump supporter – fake.

Now as most people already know, it is hard to be in the middle of an election year and not have things like this come up. Hollywood is not immune from the propaganda of the right-wing media. One thing that has always been a staple for Hollywood is that many of the people involved in the industry lean toward the left, with a few exceptions of course.

But in politics, it is hard to tell what is true and what is fake. It was just last month that conservative news outlets were reporting that President Obama visited Japan and made an apology to their people over the atomic bomb strikes. But, of course, he did not do anything of the sort.

Even Bruce Campbell’s Ash vs Evil Dead co-star Lucy Lawless could not help but weigh in on the matter and call it an obviously embarrassing moment for the conservative news outlet that posted it on Twitter.

The truth is, there have been many situations where right-wing news outlets have spread propaganda across their various social media sites that are out of context. But they should have known from the very beginning that posting a picture of a bloody woman and calling her a Trump supporter would eventually be called out. There should have been some form of intelligence within the conservative news outlet that could have told them to hold off and check their sources before simply firing a picture out there that could come back to bite them in the behind.

But nevertheless, Bruce Campbell was the first one to step up on Twitter and call the conservative news source out for the blatant misuse of a picture for nothing more than propaganda purposes.
