Dorinda Medley Slams Bethenny Frankel After Blowout In The Berkshires

Dorinda Medley has invited all of her Real Housewives of New York co-stars — except for Sonja Morgan — to the Berkshires for some Christmas fun. Medley had spent the day shopping, cooking and decorating her Berkshires home, a place where she can relax and detox from the busy life in New York. And while Medley was working hard on getting the place ready for her friends, she quickly learned that her co-stars had no interest in keeping the peace in the Berkshires.

According to a new Bravo report, Dorinda Medley is now breaking her silence about the dramatic night in the Berkshires. Dorinda had only brought some of her co-stars to the overnight stay at her vacation home, but Medley was shocked that her co-stars would start arguing immediately. Bethenny Frankel and Luann de Lesseps quickly started arguing. And while Luann did mock Medley’s birthday cake from her mother, it was actually Bethenny who broke the rules, according to Dorinda.

“There’s something about that dining room that really gets Bethenny going, right? Last year, it was over Heather’s meatballs, this year it was about being ‘the only one with the balls’ to call Lu out on her lifestyle choices. I don’t think any of that took balls, to be honest … I thought it was mean and just inappropriate. This was neither the time nor the place! And if this was jinxed, I hardly think it’s because I don’t know how to host a party, since I’ve done that very successfully for years, but it’s the fact that most of these guests don’t know how to behave as guests. I thought this would be a nice Christmas slumber party, not the Crucifixion of the Countess!” Dorinda Medley points out in her blog for Bravo.

Frankel did walk into the Berkshires home with a mission. She did reveal that she was stressed out and needed some time away to deal with her business stress. But she had no plans of calling out Luann for her promiscuous relationships. Frankel brought up rumors that Luann kept sleeping with guys around New York, and she just wanted the Countess to own her behavior. But Dorinda Medley was hoping that the blowout wouldn’t happen at her home.

Plus, Medley points out that the ladies should have acted appropriately given they were guests at her home. Dorinda really wanted them to act gracefully and perhaps even bring her a hostess gift. But that may be too much for her to ask, given the drama between her co-stars.

“It’s really this simple: When you’re a guest in someone’s home, there are certain guidelines you should adhere to,” Medley reveals, adding later, “When I go stay with someone, I bring a gift, I’m gracious, complimentary to the host(ess) and the home. I appreciate the efforts made, over-compliment them, and do my best to integrate and enjoy the company around. It really is that simple. If someone can’t do that, they should just stay home.”

Even though Dorinda may have heard about the rumors, she didn’t want them to be brought up at her home. Many of the other Real Housewives of New York stars had heard the same rumors about Luann’s dating life. On the show, she had just announced that she had met an amazing guy, the man who she’s now engaged to. But before meeting him, she was supposedly sleeping around, including with younger men and married men. And Bethenny just wanted her to own it, as she had been very critical of her co-stars.
