Lamar Odom Reportedly Back On Crack, Khloe Kardashian And Friends Try And Fail To Force Him Into Rehab
Lamar Odom has taken a major step backwards on his road to recovery.
Odom’s friends and family members told TMZ they believe the former NBA star is using hard drugs once again. They recently found crack pipes in Odom’s residence and have confronted him about his relapse.
Odom has a history of drug abuse. In fact, Odom almost killed himself by way of an overdose in a brothel in Nevada just last fall.
However, following his near-fatal overdose, Odom’s close associates believed that the experience was enough to prevent Odom from ever using again.
Unfortunately, Odom’s friends have noticed a change in him in recent weeks. After discovering the crack pipes, the friends and close associates, including estranged wife Khloe Kardashian, are positive that Odom is using drugs again and have tried their best to get him to stop.
Things have gotten so bad that his friends even tried an intervention. Odom, however, laughed off the attempt to get him help, which was eerily similar to the way he reacted to an intervention back in 2013.
Odom suffered his overdose after a four-day bender on cocaine, alcohol, and herbal Viagra. Emergency responders found Odom unconscious at the Love Ranch and did not expect him to pull through.
Apparently, Lamar Odom still believes that the drugs cannot harm him. In fact, along with his drug use, Odom has been spotted hitting up local bars and drinking alcohol, all while recovering from significant brain damage.
Several outlets have tried to reach out to Odom but have failed to receive any comments back.
As fans will recall, Khloe helped him make a full recovery. Odom credits Kardashian’s efforts — along with Kanye West’s rapping — for helping him get through his ordeal.
Although Kardashian put their divorce on hold while Odom recovered from his injuries, she has since re-filed divorce papers. It isn’t clear if Odom’s failed marriage with the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has anything to do with his recurring drug use.
“It was a challenge for me when I decided to get divorced. At my core, I don’t believe in divorce, but I came to a point in my marriage where I had to make the choice to take care of my own mental and emotional well-being in order to protect myself and my happiness,” Kardashian recently stated. “I am at peace with that decision and do feel like I honored my vows to the very end.”
Meanwhile, following the divorce announcement, Hollywood Life is reporting that Odom was spotted buying herbal Viagra at a local gas station in Fresno, California.
Odom was later photographed with a mysterious woman and friends, whom he met at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar. Odom left the restaurant with the unknown girl.
The public sighting came less than a week after Kardashian’s second divorce filing. Apparently, Odom is trying to move on from Kardashian, though the identity of the woman is still unclear.
Odom and Kardashian did sign a prenup before tying the knot back in 2009. Although their divorce has not been finalized, it normally takes around six months for courts to settle divorce cases.
In the meantime, the recent outing is not a good sign for Odom. After all, Odom overdosed while using sexual enhancement drugs like herbal Viagra. If he really is back using drugs, then fans can only hope that he gets help before it’s too late.
