Kim Kardashian is prepared to bare all for her devoting fans yet again, according to new media reports released this week.
People reported that the newest nude photo session is part of a “secret project” Kim Kardashian teased on her Instagram page. In addition to a post by the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star exposing her bare backside, the photographer Mert Alas teased a picture that shows Kim Kardashian covering her breasts with her hands.
The “secret project” Kim teased in her Instagram post could have been in the planning stages for weeks. Nearly three months ago, Kardashian and Mert Alas — one of the photographers she referenced in her post — were snapping selfies together in Los Angeles. The meeting would have provided Kim Kardashian and her friend enough time to scheme the forthcoming project.
The “secret project” comes despite critics urging Kim Kardashian to reconsider the images she shares and poses for in the future. The initial outrage about what Kim shares on her Instagram account came after Kardashian shared a pair of nude selfies earlier this year, the Inquisitr previously reported. Kim Kardashian hasn’t taken too kindly to the criticism; in fact, Kim insulted many of the celebrities who were critical of her nude post.
Although criticism has come from several celebrities, Piers Morgan penned the definitive critique for the Daily Mail. “In fact, I found it all a bit depressing,” Morgan wrote after Kardashian’s nude selfies were released. “Kim’s 35 now, and the mother of two very young children.”
“As Chloë Grace Moretz so rightly said, does she really want young girls to think the only way to succeed in life is by flashing their naked flesh in tweets to the gawping, salivating world? She can surely be a far more powerful role model to them, and indeed to her own daughter North, by now proving she can be just as successful in other less prurient ways? The time has come for Kim to consider the unthinkable and actually start putting her clothes back on.”

Piers Morgan blamed the insistence to share such photographs as a way for Kim to remain relevant, especially when juxtaposed against her own family. Despite having more than 72 million Instagram followers, Kardashian is looking over her shoulder at little sister Kendall Jenner as the model is rapidly closing in on 60 million Instagram followers.
“But it’s hard to escape the creeping suspicion that this new frenzied and frankly rather desperate attempt to ‘break the internet’ is happening because other younger members of her family have been grabbing all the scantily-clad attention recently, notably half-sister 20-year-old Kendall ‘Instagram Queen’ Jenner. Every supermodel, movie and pop sex symbol (with the exception of the increasingly grotesque and embarrassing Madonna) knows there comes a time when you have to hand the baton onto the next generation, however reluctantly.”
While Piers Morgan may have nailed the reasoning, it’s not the only opinion being offered as to why Kim Kardashian continues to pose nude. The Independent‘s Holly Baxter also wrote about the issue, suggesting that females are making statements with their bodies by controlling the images they choose to share.
“A lot of time was spent attempting to de-[politicize] women’s bodies, to make them neutral spaces. But now it seems the pendulum has swung the other way. Women have accepted their bodies have to ‘mean something,’ and if so, they at least want control over the definition. If you’re [Lena] Dunham, Kardashian or any other public female face, ‘what you stand for’ has become inextricably intertwined with what you look like.”
Baxter’s critique could also be spot-on. Kim Kardashian posted a nude image of herself last year to debunk rumors of a faked pregnancy. Ultimately, however, Kim may have a financial goal in mind by posing nude as previous Inquisitr reports have suggested Kardashian posts racy images to promote her paid website and app.
