Guns N’ Roses Slash: David Bowie Slept With My Mother

Slash from Guns N’ Roses has probably seen a lot of crazy things in his life as a rocker, but an incident involving his mom and David Bowie likely stands out among them all.

When he was 8 years old the rocker once known as Saul Hudson caught his costume designer mother, Ola Hudson, in bed with David Bowie, The Huffington Post reported.

Slash talked about the incident to Australian radio station Triple M, telling the host:

My mum started working with David professionally at first. I’m pretty sure that’s how it started. Then it turned into some sort of mysterious romance that went on for a while after that. She did his wardrobe for his whole Thin White Duke period and The Man Who Fell To Earth movie that he did. She did all that and he was around for a while. He was always over -– they were always together. I caught them naked once. They had a lot of stuff going on, but my perspective was limited. Looking back on it, I know exactly what was going on. When I look back on that whole combination of people, I can only imagine how freaky it was.

Slash’s mom, who passed away in 2009, had worked with David Bowie in the mid-1970s, NME reported. She designed his outfits when he adopted his “Thin White Duke” persona, a time when he made the album Station to Station and the movie The Man Who Fell To Earth.

Slash is still making headlines for his music, too. His solo album, Apocalyptic Love, was released in May. He also recently completed a European tour.
