‘The Hills’ Turns 10 — Could A Reunion Movie With Lauren Conrad Be In The Works?

Fans of The Hills might be in for a celebration.

While the hit series prepares for its upcoming 10th anniversary special on MTV, a movie deal might also be in the works.

According to Us Magazine, producers have expressed a strong desire to move The Hills to the big screen in the near future. Apparently, the only hurdle in the project is getting Lauren Conrad to agree.

Conrad has not expressed a lot of interest in making a Hills movie. However, her other co-stars – including Whitney Port, Kristin Cavallari, and Audrina Patridge – are more than ready to jump on board.

If all of them agree to star in the movie, then the storyline would pick up with Patridge’s wedding ceremony down under. Patridge is currently getting ready to marry Corey Bohan, a popular BMX biker.

Meanwhile, fans will get a chance to see the cast back in action when the 10th anniversary special premieres in August.

“Today is the 10th anniversary of The Hills! I am excited to announce that @MTV will premiere an anniversary special with me on Tuesday 8/2!” Conrad wrote on Twitter.

Conrad first began her career on television with Laguna Beach. From there, she joined The Hills in 2006 and parted ways three years later.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the upcoming special will help answer some of the lingering questions fans have asked ever since the show ended.

“[The Hills] takes us back to revisit MTV’s cultural phenomenon in celebration of the show’s 10-year anniversary,” MTV announced in an official statement. “[Sifting] through the clutter to address some of the show’s best-kept secrets and reveal what it was really like living her pivotal years on camera.”

At the same time, Conrad could barely hold back her own excitement on re-visiting the show.

“Viewers watched me grow up and experience milestones on Laguna Beach and The Hills — and now they will get a firsthand look at my life today,” Conrad shared. “I can’t wait for you to see the special on Aug. 2!”

Ever since the series wrapped up in 2010, the show has inspired numerous spin-offs with former cast members. This includes The City, starring Whitney Port and Patridge’s eponymous series, which only last one year on VH1.

For her part, Conrad managed to grab four Teen Choice Awards for her part on The Hills. She has also written a few books since her departure from the show. This includes L.A. Candy and Lauren Conrad Celebrate, her guide to home entertaining.

Conrad has also appeared on a number of reality shows, including America’s Next Top Model, Punk’d, Fashion Police, and Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List.

What are the other cast members up to?

According to Access Hollywood, Cavallari is now married to Jay Cutler, a quarterback in the NFL. The couple has three children together.

Along with being a mom, Cavallari works as a shoe and jewelry designer.

Port is now married to Tim Rosenman and has come out with her very own line of clothes, called Whitney Eve.

In contrast to her fellow cast members, Lo Bosworth received a degree from culinary school back in 2014. She also writes a highly successful blog titled The Lo Down.

Justin “Bobby” Brescia runs and operates a hair care store and spends his free time playing music.

Lastly, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag have managed to stick together through the years. The pair even make it out for cameos on numerous TV shows.
