Fifth Harmony Split Rumors Spread Again As Members Make Solo Music

The Fifth Harmony split rumors are spreading like wildfire once again. It seems like they are going to continue to ignite this summer, even with the latest release of their hot new album, 7/27, which has since received mixed reviews.

The reason why the Fifth Harmony split rumors have picked up again is because some of the members have been seen making their own music. Ally Brooke is the latest member who’s rumored by the Harmonizers to be making solo music. She was seen recording music with Mozella, who wrote Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball,” One Direction’s “Perfect,” and Madonna’s “Rebel Heart.”

Mozella took to her official Twitter account to announce to her followers that she’s making music with the Fifth Harmony singer.

It’s not yet known if Ally will try to score her own solo pop hits, or if she will go the Christian music route, since she has expressed an interest in it before.

Then, earlier this week, Camila Cabello sparked the solo music rumors once again when she was spotted working with producer Benny Blanco in the recording studio. He’s the man responsible for both Rihanna and Gwen Stefani’s hit songs, including Katy Perry’s smash hit “Teenage Dream.” The video was first spotted on Cabello’s Snapchat account and then shared by a Camila Cabello’s Twitter account, which then deleted the tweet. You can still check out the video here while it’s up.

Now, it appears that Camila Cabello is working with both Cashmere Cat and Benny Blanco on her secret music projects. She shared another Snapchat video in which she’s seen working with the hit-making producers. Check out the video below.

Back in April, Camila was seen working with Diplo. The music producer and DJ took to Snapchat to share a clip of Camila singing Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car.” In the video, she’s seen looking into the camera as she whispered “Major Lazer,” which is Diplo’s side group project. That video has since been removed from the Shady Music Facts’ Twitter account, but you can still check it out here, or in the tweet below.

Cabello could just be a featured artist on these new songs. She was a featured artist on the single “I Know What You Did Last Summer” with Shawn Mendes, and she’s rumored to be a featured artist on Diplo’s upcoming single. It’s no secret that Diplo has featured many singers on his hit songs. But it’s also no secret that Cabello has a desire to make it on her own.

In addition to Camila and Ally working on solo projects, Dinah Jane Hansen was also asked by producer DJ Mustard to work with him on an upcoming project. It’s unclear whether she would work with him alone or if she would have Fifth Harmony work with him like she has with other music producers.

In addition, Dinah was recently spotted working in the music studio with rapper Stunna June. He took to Twitter to post a clip of a song they’re working on together.

Normani Kordei had also been the center of solo music rumors when she was spotted at dance classes and recording sessions earlier this year. She sparked the rumors again when she graced the June 2016 cover of NationAlist magazine and explained why she wants to work with a “serious” artist like Sia.

“I admire her lyrics and songs. She’s serious about music. In this decade, music can take a different route and people sometimes focus on everything else that goes on around it, and not solely on music. She focuses on the music. She is creative and hands on and writes all her songs. Also, I have never seen anyone deliver and sing a record live better than on the album. I saw her at Coachella, she was so amazing. I like that she covers up so that people listen more closely and focus on the music and [realize] appearance isn’t the most important factor of the performance.”

Fifth Harmony has expressed in the past that they’re a manufactured girl group that doesn’t get to write or produce their hit songs. It could be that the girls are trying to express themselves and experiment with different types of music on these side projects. It may not necessarily mean that 5H is destined to break up anytime soon.
