Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton Plan Marriage And Try For Baby: Their Romance Timeline And Cutest PDA Photos

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton worked together on The Voice, and initially attempted to deny rumors that there was something more than a professional relationship in their friendship. But their attempts soon were replaced by a confirmation that they were a couple as well as a parade of PDA photos. Since dating openly last October, the lovebirds have quickly taken their romance to the next level by discussing marriage and babies, a Stefani family insider told Us Weekly.

While their fans have enjoyed seeing them interact as coaches on The Voice, as well as seeing her relationship with him as a mentor, behind the scenes, Gwen and Blake are hatching plans for their future, according to the family insider.

“[They] talk openly about their future together. They say things like, ‘When we get married…’ all the time.”

And that future includes a baby, with the “totally smitten” 46-year-old mom-of-three sons eager to have another child.

“[She] is totally smitten and wants to have a baby with Blake. Gwen is trying to get pregnant,” revealed one of her pals to Us. “Gwen says she wants to give Blake his own kid. She wants a girl!”

And as for how her 39-year-old boyfriend feels, he’s been wanting to have his own children for a long time, a yearning that played into his reasons for his 2015 divorce from Miranda Lambert, according to Us Weekly‘s source.

“Blake was dying to have kids, but Miranda kept putting it off.”

With Gwen willing to fulfill his dreams, he just might get more than he planned, however, because Hollywood Life cites a source claiming that the mom-of-three has turned to in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments, which increases the chances that she could have twins.

Despite her fondness for showing off her whittled waistline and flat abs in revealing attire, the 46-year-old has agreed to stop dieting and put on some pounds in order to facilitate her dream of getting pregnant.

“Gwen’s been told by fertility doctors that she needs to relax her strict diet and workout regimen as she hopes to become pregnant with Blake’s child. She’s gained seven pounds in the past month and has already begun IVF treatments, which also cause weight gain because of the hormones,” shared the in-the-know individual.

And the mom-of-three boys is prepared for the possibility of having twins, and is totally on board with the concept, added the insider.

“Gwen has been told the odds of having twins increase with IVF, and she would be thrilled if that happens. This is a big adventure for Gwen and Blake, and they’re ready for whatever the future holds.”

What are the chances that she could have multiples by using IVF? The American Society For Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) explains that IVF involves having the doctor place the fertilized eggs (embryos) into the womb. If one to two embryos are placed, the odds of having three or more babies (triplets) is significantly less.

To perform IVF, the egg and sperm are fertilized in the laboratory prior to the placement of embryos into the womb. The doctor typically works with the patient to determine the number of embryos for the optimal result.

As they hope for a baby, the couple has come a long way since those days when their romance consisted only of speculation among fans. The timeline of their relationship dates back to their respective heartbreak last year, when Gwen and Blake each struggled to recover from painful divorces, pointed out Us Weekly.

But as they worked together on The Voice, the chemistry became noticeable. Their fellow coach, Adam Levine, gets credit for part of the romance, because he was the one who held the Halloween party that was highlighted by a PDA parade that party-goers observed. Her representative soon confirmed that it was time for a hot couple alert.

Soon after that came the photos, showcasing the lovebirds’ growing affection. Making their red carpet debut at the 2016 AMAs, their love was clear, party-goers told Us Weekly.

“They made out,” confirmed one, while another added, “They were dancing together and kissing against a wall. They’re completely infatuated.”
