‘Ms. Matched’: In Hallmark Movie, ‘The Wedding Planner’ And Financial Advisor Clash In Love, Starring Alexa PenaVega, Shawn Roberts
Ms. Matched, the charming new Hallmark movie, is airing this Saturday in tune with Hallmark Channel’s “June Weddings” season. The 2016 comedy romance flick is directed by Mark Jean and written by Jennifer Barrow, Monica Parker, and Rich Tabach. Ms. Matched is about a successful high-end wedding planner and a low-budget wedding consultant who clash but end up falling for each other, though they are complete opposites. Hallmark’s Ms. Matched stars Alexa PenaVega as Libby Boland, Shawn Roberts as Ben Reynolds, and Leah Gibson as Michelle, according to KTLA-5.

Ms. Matched Hallmark Movie Synopsis
Bridal consultant and wedding planner, Libby Boland, makes it her mission to give her clients classic and elegant fairy tale weddings that are sure to be the talk of the town. With years of experience, Libby has built up a reputation for being able to execute her clients’ visions for their upcoming ceremonies. From the bridal bouquet and wedding reception down to the honeymoon and “bed and breakfast,” Libby spares no expense in making sure that special day is just perfect.
At the annual wedding expo, Libby meets the talented Ben Reynolds, a well-known author of Wedding Day Do’s and Don’ts. At first, she is impressed with Ben, until she finds out that he is also a financial advisor who is telling potential wedding clients not to spend too much money for just one day. This goes completely against Libby’s philosophy, and she is immediately turned off by him. Later, she meets with some new clients who want Libby and Ben to work together on planning their dream wedding, which does not set well with Libby.

With reluctance, Libby agrees to work with Ben, but the savvy planner just can’t take Ben’s lousy wedding-on-a-budget advice, causing them to clash at every turn. But the more hours they spend planning the wedding, strong feelings develop, and they realize that though they are “a definite mismatch” they have a lot more in common than they previously thought. Plus, not only is Ben handsome, he’s hopelessly romantic. Meanwhile, the situation becomes serious when Libby faces a potential financial disaster. But in true fairy tale fashion, Ben swoops in just in time to save her.

“Alexa PenaVega has been acting since the age of four when she landed the role of Burt Reynolds’s daughter in the acclaimed television series, Evening Shade. She became known worldwide in 2001 with her role as Carmen Cortez in Spy Kids including the most recent installment, Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World. Alexa has appeared in the films Twister, as the young Helen Hunt, Little Giants, Nine Months, Ghosts of Mississippi, Deep End of the Ocean, Sleepover, State’s Evidence, Walkout, Remember the Daze.
