WWE News: WWE May Have Accidentally Given Away Who Will Go To WWE SmackDown After The WWE Draft

With the WWE Brand Split comes the WWE Draft, a time when each brand gets to reshape their roster, or in this case, actually make it. The WWE Draft is tentatively set for the middle of July with WWE SmackDown going live the week after on July 19. This would be the first time in the history of the blue brand that they go live on a consistent basis. It is a huge move that WWE fans have asked for many times over the years.

The problem is, we had no clue who was going to end up where. We have all heard reports on John Cena going to SmackDown, but beyond him only a few people have been rumored and they are by no means confirmed. Now, it looks like WWE may have slipped up just enough to give us an idea of the top names that will be on SmackDown for the first live show. The company thends to make advertisements that help them excite people in a local area where the show is being filme; the ads are at least interesting enough to get people to go to the show.

Due to their need to set up ads, it looks like they have given away a few major names that will end up on the blue brand. Names currently advertised for upcoming SmackDown shows from the first live show and moving forward, according to Ringside News, include AJ Styles, Dean Ambrose, Chris Jericho, Kevin Owens, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Cesaro, and The New Day.

This is a really great cast of names for the show. This could also mean that we know where the WWE Tag Team Championships will end up if WWE decides to make them a show exclusive. It looks like The New Day will take on The Club for the Tag Titles at WWE Money in the Bank. Regardless of who comes out of that match, the tag titles will be on SmackDown. This is big news in its own right.

If the advertisement for SmackDown does not include top tier names like a Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, etc. that is a big situation. While we have seen over and over again that John Cena will be on the show, this could mean he won’t go there, but there is a pretty good shot WWE is leaving Cena off of the advertisement simply because he just got back and WWE doesn’t want to give a surprise away.

With no Reigns or Rollins, that could be taken as a bit more of a confirmation on two World Championships. There have been rumors of AJ Styles and John Cena fighting for the new World Title that will appear on SmackDown already, which means plans are probably already in place for a great deal of changes.

The one thing that is interesting about the above roster is that some of the best workers in the company happen to be on it. People like Cesaro and Kevin Owens are already big, but adding AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose to that same list? That is quite the roster. On top of all of that, The New Day and John Cena are also on the same roster? It seems like SmackDown will not just compete with WWE RAW, but they may have better ratings after a while.

They seem to have the best of every world with this particular roster. There are top heels and top babyfaces. There are established names as well as new ones. Then, you have the major star in Cena to help everything. With Cena’s proven ability to make newer stars look good, there may be no better place for him when the brand finally splits.
