Anna Duggar Praised As ‘A Blessing’ By Jessa Seewald While Josh Duggar’s Son Marcus Turns 3 [Video]

Jessa Duggar has only praise for her sister-in-law Anna Duggar, and in a recently released deleted scene from Jill & Jessa: Counting On, Jessa confesses that having Anna to look up to “is such a blessing to me.” In a year of ups and downs, Anna Duggar admits she has struggled to pull through and has equally depended on Jessa and her sisters for support during the heartbreaking revelations that her husband, Josh Duggar, was cheating on her.

In the deleted scene, which was shared on the Duggar Family Blog, Jessa and Anna took a trip to Branson, Missouri, for some downtime and to bond as sisters. Although cozy by a fire, Anna and Jessa decide to take their babies, Meredith and Spurgeon, on a walk to talk about childhood milestones and to compare notes.

During an on-camera interview, Jessa praises her sister-in-law for her wonderful mothering advice, confessing that she has “learned so much from Anna, just watching the way that she loves her kids.” During the scene, Anna and her sister-in-law discuss the development of their children, who are close in age, and Anna reveals to Jessa that Spurgeon might be delayed in rolling over, but it’s only because he’s so “chunky!”

Jessa is a first time mother to her son, Spurgeon, and after a rough home birth that ended up with Jessa being transported to the hospital in an ambulance after she lost too much blood, Duggar admitted that having Anna to lean on is “just been such a blessing to me, as I’m stepping into mommy-hood myself, to look to her as an example and learn from her.”

For the past year, Anna Duggar has had to deal with the Josh Duggar scandals, and she recently revealed to fans that she and her husband are in marriage counseling after finding out that Josh cheated on her and struggled with a pornography addiction. After the shock of realizing her husband was leading a double life, Anna and Josh shared with fans in a joint statement that they “have been working with a professional marriage and family counselor to take important steps toward healing,” and they thanked fans for their love and support throughout the past year.

Josh Duggar himself admitted last year that he is “the biggest hypocrite ever,” because “[w]hile espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife.” After six months in faith-based rehab, Josh returned home and is trying to rebuild his life after leaving his job at the Family Research Council, a conservative Christian lobbying group.

In their statement, Josh and Anna confessed that working on their marriage “isn’t easy and some days are very difficult,” adding that it’s been “a long road to rebuild trust and a truly healthy relationship.” The Duggar family concluded that they’re “very thankful for God’s forgiveness, grace and help, as it is our strength and guide to rebuilding our lives,” and revealed that they don’t know what will happen in the future, but they’re “taking one day at a time and we are grateful for your continued prayers for both of us and our sweet children.”

Anna Duggar has also been in the news because her son Marcus, who she shares with Josh Duggar, has turned 3-years-old! Fans of 19 Kids and Counting were able to watch Marcus’ birth, and the Duggar family shared the important birthday with fans on their website. The Duggar family did not share how they planned to celebrate the special day with Marcus.
