Miley Cyrus Thrills Fans With Sexy Gender Fluid Performance, Champions Gay Rights Amid Baby Rumors — Watch [Video]

Miley Cyrus has transformed herself since her Disney days. Among the signs that it’s a new Miley, Cyrus has made it a point to utilize her social media platform to become a champion of LGBT rights, pointed out Marie Claire.

Going beyond supporting gay rights, Miley has revealed that she regards herself as gender fluid.

“I’m just equal. I’m just even. It has nothing to do with any parts of me or how I dress or how I look. It’s literally just how I feel.”

Cyrus just used those words as a basis for her dazzling performance on the NBC variety show, Maya & Marty. Sporting a suit, Miley began by singing Leonard Cohen’s “I’m Your Man,” followed by pulling off her pants to do justice to Peggy Lee’s “I’m a Woman.” Watch the video below.

What was particularly impressive about Miley’s performance on Maya Rudolph and Martin Short’s new variety show Maya & Marty was that she scored a hit among contenders including Steve Martin and Tom Hanks, noted Time.

In addition to using her performance to express her message about gender fluidity and speaking out about gay rights, Cyrus recently launched a non-profit organization, the Happy Hippie Foundation.

Miley has shocked some with her openness about discussing her sexuality, pointed out People.

The singer revealed that she has not limited her relationships in the past to straight or heterosexual. Cyrus also shared that she sought to understand her own gender identity.

“I didn’t want to be a boy. I kind of wanted to be nothing. I don’t relate to what people would say defines a girl or a boy, and I think that’s what I had to understand: Being a girl isn’t what I hate, it’s the box that I get put into.”

Miley was attacked by some fans when she championed same-sex marriage, noting that they questioned her for religious reasons.

“A lot of people mocked me – they said, ‘What happened to you? You used to be a Christian girl!’ And I said, ‘Well, if you were a true Christian, you would have your facts straight. Christianity is about love,'” declared the singer.

And when it comes to love, Cyrus has been the subject of speculation that she has rekindled her romance with actor Liam Hemsworth, resulting in repeated rumors that she is trying to have a baby as well as speculation that she is already pregnant.

Earlier this year, an insider told Life & Style that Miley was ready to begin a family with the Hunger Games star.

“She’s talking to friends about stopping any form of birth control soon. Miley wants to start trying to have a baby as soon as they are married, if not before.”

Woman’s Day subsequently cited a source who claims that Cyrus already is pregnant, with the due date in August.

“[Liam] is over the moon. His very own little surfer dude!” gushed the source. “They feel very blessed. It’s a dream come true.”

Miley has indulged her maternal instincts with her beloved rescue animals, and her boyfriend has expressed his affection for his brothers’ youngsters. Liam embraces the role of an uncle so much that he even allows his niece India to paint this toenails.

“I love my brothers’ kids. It’s funny. As an uncle, you become so protective of them,” confessed Hemsworth. “When I go away and I shoot something, I constantly want to see photos of them. It’s a beautiful thing.”

As for a desire for a baby of their own, however, an insider told Hollywood Life that the couple has put any plans to start a family on hold for now.

“They have a lot of history together and a lot of love for each other but Miley is still young and changes her mind often. Miley is in no hurry to start a family,” clarified the insider.
