Man arrested for stealing hotel soap

Cops in Chicago witnessed a man stealing cases of hotel soap from the back of a truck Friday. They chased and apprehended him a short distance away.

At about 3:15am Friday, police were patrolling the area when they saw a man who appeared to be stealing from a parked truck. They confronted him and when he refused to be handcuffed, he was pepper sprayed and fled on foot. He was apprehended about a block away.

Police discovered the truck was full of hotel soap and said that thieves rarely know what trucks are carrying before they break into them.

As of 4am that morning the man was still being questioned but hadn’t been charged. A second man who fled the scene has not yet been found.
