Liam Hemsworth must be feeling the pressure these days to marry Miley Cyrus. It’s all over the news, only this time, the pressure is not coming from the press. On the contrary, it is coming from the person who could be his father-in-law. Only yesterday, Billy Ray Cyrus took to the Today show to promote his new gig, Still the King, according to Us Weekly.

Along the way, the question about Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus popped up as expected. Billy Ray answered as follows.

“They’re really happy together right now. They know if they need a preacher, they’ve found one. My grandfather was a Pentecostal preacher.”

These lines were spoken in a joking manner, which is consistent with Billy Ray Cyrus’ personality. Such statements convey the impression that being the doting father to Miley Cyrus, Billy Ray only wants the best thing for her daughter. No doubt, Billy Ray is conjuring images in his brain of having as many grandchildren as possible. It all sounds very natural and, of course, very fatherly.

Liam Hemsworth openly admits that he doesn’t even read the news anymore so as not to be influenced by what is being said regarding his relationship with Miley, the Inquisitr previously reported. Based on this statement, it is safe to assume that Hemsworth never actually read about what the elder Cyrus has said about him.

But here’s the thing: Both Liam and Billy Ray have been caught saying the words “I’m happy, we’re happy” to the press to describe the present state of affairs in their lives as well as Miley’s. In fact, with these words being tossed around so much between Liam and Billy Ray, it almost sounds like a code, or at the very least, there’s some scripting involved here.

Therefore, Liam Hemsworth and Billy Ray Cyrus are not only trying to be tight-lipped about the situation, they are also striving for some kind of consistency with delivering their message to the media. Conclusion: Hemsworth is already very much aware that Billy Ray Cyrus wants him to marry his daughter, and Liam is fine with it.

And here’s another statement that sounds almost like a telegraphic code coming from Liam Hemsworth.

“People will figure it out, they already have… They’re not dumb.”

How many times have you read this statement lately, purportedly said by Liam to GQ? Clearly, Liam is talking about the press, and that is us. We have already figured it out, but what is it that we have already figured out?

In a nutshell, that Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus are still very much in love. They are engaged. How sure are we? Well, Miley has been seen wearing the engagement ring, right? Not necessarily every time, but she pops up every now and then with or without the original engagement ring that Liam gave her back in 2012.

And so, still following along with the Liam Hemsworth logic, voila, the two are still very much engaged. This is the only conclusion that could be made and not the opposite. Why? Because Miley Cyrus would not be stupid — or to use Liam’s own word, dumb — to wear the so-called big rock unless she is sure what the real score is. She is not only the presumptive fiancee. As a matter of fact, she is the only fiancee there is.

Also, it is quite consistent with the fact that in all their appearances and interviews together lately, Miley Cyrus has been so strangely tight-lipped and has left all the talking to Liam Hemsworth. Miley, as everyone knows, is a blabbermouth, in a nice sort of way. For her to be tight-lipped about a situation, somebody has to be pulling the strings somewhere.
