‘The Mindy Project’ Season 4 Spoilers: Danny Moves On From Mindy In Season Finale, Chris Messina Exits Hulu Series?

The latest episode of The Mindy Project Season 4 had fans of the hit Hulu series wondering if they will ever get to see Mindy (Mindy Kaling) and Danny (Chris Messina) back together again. Although Mindy seemed to have moved on from her baby daddy, dating several guys and even having her first one night stand, it still came as a shock to her when she found out that Danny has also found someone new.

Last Tuesday’s episode of The Mindy Project Season 4 was definitely a big moment for Mindy and Danny’s relationship. She learned that she is not the only one who has moved on, but also Danny. Not that he is trying to hide it or anything, since he even posted photos on Facebook of them kissing on top of a Ferris wheel.

When Mindy dropped Leo off Danny’s place for her upcoming five-day trip in Texas to visit Peter, she came face-to-face with his hot new girlfriend. It seems that the two have been going out for quite a while, as it appears like she already knows so much about him. While she has been with other guys after the break up, Mindy still seemed threatened to see her.

“Bye, Leo. I love you. Nothing can replace a mother’s love,” Mindy said as Danny’s new girlfriend took Leo from her.

Still clearly upset that she has been “replaced,” Mindy aired all her frustrations to Peter, on how she was unable to find “one, single, sane, rich, hot cunnilingus addict in New York City.” She, however, soon began to forget her problems after seeing the hot “pool boy” Diego (Santiago Cabrera).

In true The Mindy Project fashion, we will not be surprised if this will be the first and last time we get to see Diego. Mindy seemed to be back to her old habit of dating man after man each episode. Mindy moving on may not be news enough, but Danny finding someone new may just well be a reason to get worried. Bustle speculated that his new relationship may actually be even more serious than we thought. It was also pointed out that the Season 4 finale is titled “Homewrecker.” Your guess is as good as ours, but the episode may just finally answer if Danny and Mindy will be back together.

Peter and Lauren (Tracey Wigfield) were able to save their marriage last episode with Mindy’s help. Will this make her realize that she needs to give her relationship with Danny another shot? After all, she turned down Diego’s invitation for sex, so this may just be maturity we’re seeing.

Fans of The Mindy Project still had mixed reactions with the whole Danny and Mindy break up. While some were still rooting for them to eventually get back together, some are starting to think that she might be better off with Jody (Garrett Dillahunt).

Jody clearly has feelings for her, and even asked her out at one point, but changed his mind at the last minute because of the things Danny said.

“Think about it. If it didn’t work out with me, do you think it’s really going to work out with you?”

In an interview with Glamour, Chris Messina admitted that he wanted Mindy and Danny to end up together. He shared that underneath it all, Danny still cares deeply for Mindy.

“Look, these two are crazy about each other. It would be nice to have them both, especially Danny, wake up and realize that love like that doesn’t always come around.”
