‘Muslim-Free’ Florida Gun Supply Selling Obama, Clinton, And Sanders Shooting Targets [Video]

A gun store in Florida that famously declared itself to be “Muslim-free” last year is trying, once again, to profit from hate and fear. Muslim-free Florida Gun Supply in Inverness is proud to be offering shooting targets featuring the face of sitting Democratic President Barack Obama as well as the faces of Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, reports the Huffington Post.

Florida Gun Supply’s controversial shooting targets can be purchased today for the low price of $4.99, which is a 50 percent discount of their regular price of $9.99. A great deal if you want to pantomime a terrorist assassination while exercising your Second Amendment right to bear arms.

The admittedly right-wing Florida Gun Supply is owned by Andy Hallinan. Hallinan even uploaded a video to YouTube featuring the presidential shooting targets.

Apparently, Florida Gun Supply has been selling the Obama and Clinton shooting targets from its self-declared Muslim-free zone for quite a while now. Bernie Sanders has only been in the cross-hairs since April. It was then that Florida Gun Supply added his likeness to their available line of shooting targets. When the Bernie targets became available, Hallinan made the announcement on his YouTube page, going so far as to apologize to his loyal customers for the delay.

“[I’m sorry] I didn’t show my new Bernie Sanders target sooner.”

Florida Gun Supply’s owner also set up the website BernieTargets.com to sell the offensive shooting targets.

Not surprisingly, the story of the targets has gone viral and people have taken to social media to share their thoughts.

Florida Gun Supply and its owner is known for using social media to express controversial right-wing political views. Multiple tweets highly critical to President Obama can be found at any time, along with a lot of support for Donald Trump. Could it be because the owner believes that Trump will make all of America a Muslim-free zone?

According to a post on the Florida Gun Supply Facebook page, the new shooting targets aren’t intended to “incite violence.” Instead, Florida Gun Supply insists that they are “art.”

“This art is not to incite violence — but rather to inspire ALL of America to gain a better understanding of how strong our 1st amendment rights are — even if they are unpopular.”

It’s a good thing the PR people made that clear. If not, some people might have thought the shooting targets were being sold so that people could experience the “joy” of shooting Obama, Clinton, and/or Sanders without actually assassinating anyone.

Florida Gun Supply is well known for its willingness to get free publicity in even the most obscene ways. Hallinan also famously sold George Zimmerman’s “artwork.” The artwork in question? Prints of paintings of the Confederate flag. The move was considered by most to be in very bad taste, considering that George Zimmerman shot and killed unarmed African-American teen Trayvon Martin in 2012.

In Florida, no less.

Ultimately, as ABC News reports, Zimmerman was acquitted of murder, despite admitting to firing the shot that killed the Florida teen. Zimmerman said he acted in self-defense, and a Florida jury agreed, citing the state’s controversial “Stand Your Ground” law.

While this latest stunt by Florida Gun Supply is definitely offensive, perhaps the store’s most notorious attention-seeking venture happened in 2015. That was when the store declared itself a “Muslim-free zone,” garnering national attention.

A lawsuit was filed against Florida Gun Supply by Council on American-Islamic Relations in relation to the “Muslim-free zone” sign. According to the lawsuit, the store and its owner were behaving in violation of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

A federal judged disagreed. U.S. District Court Judge Beth Bloom tossed the lawsuit out, saying that the “Muslim-free zone” sign at Florida Gun Supply “did not present an imminent and concrete threat to Muslim people.”

Interestingly enough, this latest publicity stunt by Florida Gun Supply comes just days after Glenn Beck and Brad Thor discussed the hypothetical assassination of President Donald Trump on Beck’s radio show. The conversation incited incredible public backlash, and it resulted in Beck’s program being suspended.
