Are you a fan of Charlie Sheen’s new show Anger Management? Well, if you are, FX just made a pretty big announcement. Anger Management hit its ratings goal and will be renewed for at least another 90 episodes.

Before Anger Management hit the small screen FX and Lions Gate agreed to a deal that guaranteed the show 90 additional episodes if the first 10 episodes surpassed a certain ratings level. It’s unclear what ratings mark Sheen’s show had to hit but according to the Washington Post Anger Management averaged 4.5 million viewers during its first season.

The guarantee of 90 more episodes means that FX will be able to put Anger Management into syndication by the Fall of 2014.

FX Networks executive vp Chuck Saftler said:

“We set a very high ratings bar that included some additional hurdles for Anger Management to earn its back-90 order, and the series met and exceed those metrics…. [Showrunner] Bruce Helford has created a sitcom that works extremely well in our pre-10 p.m. programming lineup. Charlie Sheen and the entire cast did an amazing job in the first 10 episodes, which were produced in a very tight window. I have no doubt that the producers and cast will be able to pull off the Herculean task of producing 90 episodes over the next two years.”

Charlie Sheen’s father Martin Sheen appeared in one episode during the first season and according to the Hollywood Reporter he’ll appear in about another 20.
