‘Scream’ Spoilers Season 2 Episode 2: The New ‘Psycho’ [Video]

Scream Season 2 kicked off last night on MTV and now, the new killer might just have a few tricks up his/her sleeve for a bloody encore. If there is one thing that fans have learned from the first season of Scream, then that is to trust no one, not even your closest friend.

As many Scream fans have guessed ever since the finale episode of Season 1, Audrey has something to do with the murders that took place last summer in Lakewood. But as to the extent of her involvement, that is still yet to be determined. There is still a cloud of mystery that looms over her character and Scream is about to bend a few rules of its own franchise.

But in Episode 2 of Scream, titled “Psycho,” there is going to be a whole new level of crazy unleashed on the core characters of the show. That will ring especially true when someone new arrives in town that is going to scare Emma to her core, according to TV Guide.

The fact that Season 2 of Scream is essentially using horror movies as their episode titles shows that the series is still taking a few cues from the original Scream franchise of films. So in order to understand what is going to happen next, just look back to the original Scream 2 film and take a few hints from Randy.

“Everyone’s a suspect!” Randy said in the original Scream franchise.

Those words could not be more true for Season 2 of Scream either. Randy outlined to Deputy Dewey just how a demented psycho killer thinks and acts in a horror movie. First of all, the kills have to be much bigger in a sequel. They have to put everything on the table, and if the star female character is no longer a virgin, then that means she can die too.

The rules of the Scream franchise follow this to the core, and it pretends that the killer knows the rules and uses them as a guiding factor when he/she makes a kill. But the Scream O.G. Randy also put a few other rules on the table that means everyone can now be considered a suspect and a victim.

That means that in Scream the TV series, there is just as good a chance that Emma could be the killer as there is that she could be killed by the killer. So Scream fans need to consider that moving forward.

Now that Jake has been eliminated via gut removal, the core character of killer suspects list has been narrowed. Fans of the Scream TV show need to start looking at it that way moving forward. The rules make it clear that if you are trying to figure out who the killer is, the shock factor alone has to be much bigger than it was in Season 1 of Scream. But that will also cancel out the shock factor for the victims of Season 2 of Scream.

So if the Scream producers really want to throw you off, they will kill a major character in Episode 1 and leave the rest alive throughout the rest of the season. That means that everyone truly is a suspect. Therein lies the shock factor for the season.

As fans have already seen, Jake was killed in Episode 1 for Season 2 of Scream. So that means that there is a good possibility that all of your favorite characters will be surviving the season, one of which will be the killer.

In Episode 2 of Scream, Maggie is going to share some sensitive information that Emma is not going to feel comfortable with. But the new guy in town is going to make her feel the squeeze even more. There is also going to be a scene where Noah finds new evidence to feature on his podcast.

Episode 2 of Scream will air on MTV this Sunday.
