Kate Hudson, Amy Schumer: Are They Hollywood’s New BFFs?

Amy Schumer is certainly moving up the Hollywood ranks. Little did we know, she’s become best friends with fellow actress Kate Hudson.

Over the Memorial Day weekend, Amy Schumer was seen on vacation in Oahu, Hawaii, with Kate Hudson and her, mom Goldie Hawn. Both Hudson and Schumer, 34, took to Instagram to share some photos of their vacation.

Both of the ladies shared their own clips of their fun-filled getaway, which involved relaxing on a private yacht, playing with dolphins, and enjoying the sparkling blue water.

Schumer shared the same sentiments.

The Trainwreck star then followed up her video post with a photo of her sitting on the yacht, looking out into the distance.

Other photos of Hudson reading About Love by Bell Hooks, and Schumer falling off an inflatable flamingo were also posted on their Instagram pages.

While Schumer and Hawn opted for a one-piece black swimsuits, Hudson showed off her incredible body in a blue bikini. Last week, Schumer took to Instagram to defend herself from body shamers who slammed her beach body.

“I meant to write ‘good morning trolls!’ I hope you find some joy in your lives today in a human interaction and not just in writing unkind things to a stranger you’ve never met who triggers something in you that makes you feel powerless and alone. This is how I look. I feel happy. I think I look strong and healthy and also like miss trunchbull from Matilda. Kisses!”

While Schumer’s boyfriend, Ben Hanisch, was not with her on her beach vacation, he still pined for her on his Instagram. The Chicago-based furniture designer followed up with a silhouette of Schumer, who was illuminated by the blue waters and sunny skies seen out from behind her. He simply captioned the photo with a smiley face emoji with heart eyes.

It was just last year when Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence went on vacation together in Hawaii. The girls set social media on fire when a photo of Schumer on the back of Lawrence’s jet-ski in Hawaii circulated. Schumer first posted the photos of the two on her Instagram and Twitter accounts.

While on the Daily Show, Schumer explained how when her and her high school friends were on vacation, Lawrence kind of crashed it.

“So we go to the Hamptons, and Jennifer and I have become friends. And I was like, ‘Oh, we’re going on a boat tomorrow, you should come.’ It was kind of hypothetical, and she was like, ‘I think I’m coming’, and I was like, ‘Oh my God.'”

Schumer said that the Oscar-winning actress fit right in with her group of friends.

“She’s the coolest chick you’ll ever meet. She’s the best hang, she was like one of the gang.”

Earlier this year, Lawrence, 25, said that she’s finally finished co-writing their highly anticipated new film.

“We have finished writing it. We have an official first draft. I am going to try and fit it somewhere into my ghoulish scheduled,” the X-Men: Apocalypse star told BBC 6 Music.

Lawrence also gushed about how much fun she had working with Schumer.

“It was hilarious, because when you’re writing a comedy it’s not good enough unless you’re laughing out loud. So I’m laughing at my pages and I’m laughing at her pages and thinking that the whole process is hilarious. I’m thinking we’ve got a pretty funny, good movie.”

The actresses first announced last summer that they were working on a movie together in which they would play sisters. Maybe Schumer’s recent vacation with Hudson and Hawn only means that they’re working on a movie together as well. Here’s hoping!
