‘Teen Mom 2’ Kailyn Lowry Opens Up About Marriage Problems Amid Javi Marroquin Divorce

Kailyn Lowry opened up about her and Javi Marroquin’s marriage troubles during last night’s episode of Teen Mom 2 Season 7.

In scenes shot prior to Kailyn Lowry’s divorce announcement, the mother of two spoke to her friends and her ex-boyfriend, Jo Rivera, about the struggles she and Marroquin were facing as he was deployed in Qatar.

“It’s rough, it’s hard,” Kailyn Lowry told her friends, according to a report by Us Weekly on May 30. “[Deployment is] a lot harder on him than I thought it would be. He doesn’t feel supported … we lose things to talk about. His day-to-day is the same, we have been fighting. Right now I feel like is the time for me to focus on myself.”

Kailyn Lowry’s husband was deployed early this year and will remain overseas for at least a few more months.

In a separate scene, Kailyn Lowry met with her ex-boyfriend to discuss their co-parenting relationship, but amid their discussion, Kailyn Lowry spoke of the issues she and Marroquin were facing.

“Javi and I have been dealing with some stuff while he’s been deployed, and it’s been way harder than I ever anticipated,” Kailyn Lowry told Rivera after he suggested Marroquin was getting in the way of their co-parenting relationship. “It kinda makes me nervous for a lot of things.”

Last week, after months of rumors regarding her possible divorce, Kailyn Lowry confirmed the news while running errands in Dover, Delaware.

“We’re trying to do the best we can for our kids because they are what really matters,” Kailyn Lowry explained to the Daily Mail on May 24.

Just weeks prior, Kailyn Lowry seemingly denied she and Marroquin were parting ways during an interview with Real Mr. Housewife. As rumors regarding her split continued to swirl, Kailyn Lowry called speculation into her marriage “ridiculous.”

“This is really getting sickening. I can’t take a breath or a step without people claiming it has something to do with a divorce,” Kailyn Lowry told the outlet. “I acknowledge the fact that I’m on TV and this comes with the territory to an extent, but at this point there are some things I want to keep between my family. Due to that, I would really appreciate this over analyzation of every move I make stopping, as it’s simply getting ridiculous.”

Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin were involved in a Twitter dispute in March after Marroquin allegedly announced that he had sent a racy photo to another woman. At that point, the couple un-followed one another on social media, and weeks later, after Marroquin re-followed his wife, they were involved in another incident.

Earlier this month, after a fan sent a screenshot to Marroquin that featured Kailyn Lowry receiving a text message from a man named Tyler Hill, he called out his wife for talking to the same man he had caught her texting behind his back last season. A short time later, he told fans that social media was getting him trouble, and he deleted his Twitter account all together.

Although Marroquin’s Instagram page has remained active throughout the announcement of his split from Kailyn Lowry, he has not yet mentioned the separation. Instead, he’s focused on his fitness and appears to be working out hard while in Qatar.
