How Selena Gomez Keeps It Cute And Why She Hardly Washes Her Hair

Selena Gomez is one of the most beautiful women in young Hollywood, and one of the most popular celebrities on Instagram. It’s no wonder that so many of her fans want to look like her.

Now, they’re in luck, because Selena Gomez is sharing some of her beauty secrets. The 23-year-old looks like she already has flawless skin, but Gomez admits that she gets the occasional breakout around her chin during her Revival Tour. She breaks out because she often holds her mic so close to her face while singing.

Even with her hectic and grueling schedule, Selena says she always makes skincare her top priority. She follows a simple three-step system to keep her face clear at all times.

“I love to do three easy things in the morning. I’ll wash my face, I usually tone it, and then I’ll put a little bit of moisturizer on it, not tons, because I have really oily skin.”

Selena says that her mother has taught her the importance of skincare from a young age. Although she didn’t care about washing her face before bed when she was younger, she sees how important it is now. Selena also revealed that while her mother used Oil of Olay moisturizer, she’s not one to stick to a brand. Instead, she would rather experiment with different products and formulas.

When Gomez does get breakouts on her chin, she will try to treat that area with a mask and humidifier after a show.

“So the chin is always the first area that I treat. I usually put a mask on and a humidifier on my face after my show.”

Selena also shared some of her tips that she uses for making sure her makeup stays on when she’s on stage. She revealed that her makeup artist will mix foundation with moisturizer so that it has a lighter consistency than usual. Not only does it make Selena looking glowing on stage, but it also ensures that her outfit changes are as quick and efficient as possible.

“My quick outfit changes are usually about a minute, and my makeup artist will wipe me off and make sure nothing is under my eyes.”

The “Hands to Myself” singer also revealed some of her haircare tips. The Pantene spokesperson admits that she does not like to wash her gorgeous hair every day.

“I don’t wash my hair everyday, which may sound gross, but it’s actually really bad for my hair. Some of my best friends actually can’t go more than maybe two days without washing their hair, and for me, I give my mom and my dad all the credit, because I have thick hair, so it gets better the less I wash it. By the third day, my hair actually holds pretty well. It just holds curls better, and it holds product better. It’s so strange, but it actually works. I just use a little dry shampoo, and I tease it to keep the volume up. Usually by day four is when I have to absolutely wash it.”

Selena Gomez has been the center of tabloid rumors for years. She’s been slammed for partying too much, even while on tour. But Gomez claims that she never goes to be past 10:00 unless it’s the weekend, but she’ll opt for a low-key night out with her friends. Gomez would rather rise early and do some Pilates or cardio.

Speaking of which, Selena has been showing off her incredible body on Instagram. She’s been shaping up for her tour not only to look hot, but to feel her best every time she steps on stage. Selena has reportedly lost over 10 pounds after she was fat-shamed for gaining weight last year. She was also diagnosed with the autoimmune disease lupus back in 2012 amid the drug and alcohol allegations when Selena checked into rehab to be treated for her health condition.
