Megyn Kelly Invites Hillary Clinton On Her Show After Donald Trump Interview

Megyn Kelly isn’t just out to promote Donald Trump. According to Politico, she wants to interview Hillary Clinton as well.

“‘We hope to interview Mr. Trump again right here on ‘The Kelly File’ sometime very soon and we hope you’ll join us for that,’ the host said. Then she extended a similar offer to Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton, as all shows generally do. ‘We’d also love to have Mrs. Clinton as well,’ Kelly said, as laughter could be heard off-camera. ‘Anytime. We’re here, Hillary. Hi. We’re here.'”

Some people say that if Megyn Kelly does interview Hillary Clinton, she won’t be as forgiving as she has been with Donald Trump. However, Kelly has not been so forgiving with Trump. After all, Kelly started off her show last Tuesday evening in an angry tone when discussing the latest Trump controversy.

“It all started four months ago when Trump boycotted the Fox News GOP debate in Iowa. Instead, he held a fundraiser, he said, to benefit U.S. veterans. Now, the story is back in the headlines as the veteran community and the media presses the Trump campaign to prove that the money was raised and went to charity.”

Megyn Kelly noted that there was a huge protest in front of the Trump Towers in New York City. However, many of the people protesting were Hillary Clinton supporters doing it for political reasons, not ethical ones. Then, Fox News correspondent Trace Gallagher talked about the Trump controversy.

“Just today, Donald Trump said on social media that the event back in January raised almost $6 million for military vets. Then also today, Trump turned around and told the Washington Post that he never said he promised he’d raise $6 million.”

A video then showed Trump, from January, saying directly that he had just raised $6 million. Gallagher added that Trump chastised the mainstream media for giving him nothing but bad publicity despite raising money for veterans. He noted that Trump’s own people told CNN that the event raised $4 million or $5 million.

Meghan had an Iraq War veteran speak out against Trump. Sgt. Robert Bartlett said that if somebody says they are supporting veterans, they have to go all the way through it. He said he is willing to give Trump the benefit of the doubt.

Whatever Megyn Kelly is doing on her show, it’s working. According to Showbuzz Daily, Kelly attracted 2.3 million viewers on Thursday, 2.7 million viewers on Wednesday, 2.1 million viewers on Tuesday, and 2.3 million viewers on Monday. It wasn’t her best week, but it wasn’t her worst either. It shows that The Kelly File has been consistently strong.

However, Megyn Kelly is still no ratings match for Bill O’Reilly’s The O’Reilly Factor. According to Showbuzz Daily, O’Reilly attracted 3.2 million viewers on Thursday, 3.2 million viewers on Wednesday, 2.9 million viewers on Tuesday, and 2.9 million viewers on Monday. Megyn Kelly is often seen as the person who will soon replace Bill O’Reilly at the top of the cable news heap, but ratings show that it will not happen anytime soon unless O’Reilly retires.

Meanwhile, Twitter has been buzzing with praise on Megyn Kelly all week.
