Liam Hemsworth Stays Mum On The Miley Cyrus Engagement Rumors

Liam Hemsworth is gracing the cover of GQ Australia. The actor is photographed wearing a dark chocolate leather bomber jacket with a navy blue T-shirt.

As promised, the 26-year-old addressed his relationship with Miley Cyrus. When he was asked whether or not he was engaged to the 23-year-old pop star, Hemsworth failed to give any details about their relationship status.

“People will figure it out, they already have… They’re not dumb,” he was quoted saying.

Liam didn’t hold back when he revealed why he went back to his ex-girlfriend. Obviously, it was love that brought them back together, which he vaguely admitted.

“I guess when I feel something, then I just feel it and I go for it. I make my decisions about what’s going to make me happy, what I think is right and what I want to do — and I don’t worry too much outside of that.”

The couple split in 2013 after five years of dating and one year of being engaged. In the interview, Hemsworth said that while it was difficult, they “needed it to happen” since they were drifting apart around that time. Keep in mind, it was around the same time that Cyrus cut and bleached her hair, dramatically changed her style, and released her fourth studio album, Bangerz.

“Of course it was hard, man. But at the time we were going in different directions and it’s just what needed to happen. We were both super young and it was a good decision at the time — we both needed that.”

His recent statements came after Hemsworth denied being engaged to Cyrus an in a recent interview published by TV Week earlier this month.

He was quoted simply saying: “I am not engaged” he was asked by the publication about his confusing love life.

Meanwhile, the Independence Day: Resurgence star has been spotted out and about with Miley, who has been seen wearing the 3.5 carat engagement ring that Liam gave her back in 2012.

The actor also revealed that he’s not ready to have children yet, despite being in a serious relationship. In an exclusive interview with Extra, Liam says that he’s in no hurry to start a family of his own.

“I’m sure one day I’ll go down that road and it will feel right. For now, I feel very young and feel like I have a lot of things to do without kids weighing in on the situation so I will leave that to later on in life.”

Then a week later, Life & Style reported that Cyrus was secretly pregnant with her first child and has already shared the exciting news with her friends.

“It’s very early on, but Miley has announced to a select group of friends that she’s expecting,” an alleged unnamed source told the magazine.

Liam Hemsworth has also graced the cover of August Man’s June, 2015, issue, which have been obtained and released on JustJared.com. Although he didn’t speak out about his relationship with Cyrus, he did talk about what it was like to make a sequel to an iconic film that came out 20 years ago.

“It was definitely a bit of a mind trip at first. I was seven years old when I saw the original film, so to be doing the second film 20 years later, it’s something I never dreamed of.”

He also revealed that the spacesuit he wore for the film was not fun. It had to be screwed on and off every time he wore it.

“The gloves on our suits had to be screwed on and off and our helmets had to be screwed onto the body portion of the suit, so we were literally sealed into these spacesuits. It was not an easy or fun process.”
