Did Kim Kardashian Throw Shade At Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Ariana Grande, Rihanna, Among Others?

Kim Kardashian seems to be getting bolder with age. But did the 35-year-old reality star recently throw shade at some of music’s biggest pop stars?

According to Elle Magazine, Kim Kardashian’s latest line of Kimojis are downright shady. The latest Kimojis circulating social media have nothing to do with Kim Kardashian or the Kardashian empire. Instead, it seems like the starlet was throwing shade at Ariana Grande, Beyonce, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and Taylor Swift with their own custom-made emojis on her app.

Check them out for yourself below.

There may or may not be some shade thrown in some of these emojis. Take Taylor Swift’s “OMG I won!” face, for instance. There is also an emoji for Ariana Grande’s “donutgate” scandal, and one of Rihanna lounging around on a hammock and smoking weed, which was obviously inspired by her vacation photos in Hawaii.

Meanwhile, other fans wanted to know if Kim Kardashian’s Kimoji app was really going to include emojis of Zayn Malik and his girlfriend, Gigi Hadid.

So what’s really going on? It turns out that the emojis are not going to appear on the Kimoji app anytime soon. That would cause copyright infringement issues with Taylor Swift and Beyoncé, both of which are known for suing fans who have attempted to sell merchandise using their likeness and image.

According to Billboard, Kim Kardashian’s contributing designer for her Kimoji app decided to create these celebrity-inspired emojis just for fun. They first appeared in the June 4 issue of Billboard. So, it’s unlikely that you will see these on the Kimoji app unless each of the pop stars gave her his or her permission to use them.

Earlier this month, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star showed off her very own Kimoji-inspired manicure. Kardashian was a little late on the trend as she noticed her fans were getting a Kimoji-inspired manicure from Maria C. Sanchez, otherwise known as “Cristy.” So she enlisted the help of her longtime nail artist to get her own Kimoji-inspired nails.

“I saw all my fans were like doing these Kimoji nails and I thought they were so cute and I just thought I have to call you,” she told nail artist Britney Tokyo, as she sat down for her own Kimoji manicure.

Kim then took to her website and app to show the end result of her manicure, which is pretty amazing. You can also check out the video below.

When the Kimoji app launched in December, 2015, it reportedly crashed the App Store and made $1 million per minute. Kardashian then took to her blog to explain the design process of her app, which she claims she was very much involved in.

“We first started thinking of all the emojis that we thought were missing and kinda went from there. It’s been so fun coming up with these different ideas. I wanted it to be fun and relevant. I wanted to create emojis that everyone wishes they had. And we wanted to push the limits as far as we could, LOL! So, after months of going back and forth with my creative team, the illustrators and the tech team, we finally locked in the first pack!”

Back in July, long before the release of the Kimoji app, Kardashian explained to Rolling Stone, “I wanted to do really fun, different emojis that you don’t see on your phone.”

As of February, 2016, the Kimoji app features animated GIFs, stripper poles, twerking, butt shaking, and of course, her famous sisters. At just $1.99, they’re the perfect way to have a little Kardashian fun into your life.
