Johnny Depp Divorce: Ex-Wife Lori Anne Allison Doesn’t Believe Amber Heard’s Spousal Abuse Claims

In the wake of the spousal abuse allegations lodged against Johnny Depp by his current wife Amber Heard, Depp’s ex-wife is speaking out. Lori Anne Allison says she doesn’t believe that Johnny was abusive to Amber during their marriage.

According to TMZ, Allison says that Johnny Depp was never abusive to her during their marriage. She even goes so far as to say that Depp “never even screamed.” Lori Anne Allison said that Johnny was a kind person, both to humans and to animals. He even treated his dogs better than some parents treat their own children.

Lori told TMZ that she and Johnny are still friends. She said that she spoke to Depp last week when she called to give her condolences after the death of his mother, Peggy Sue Palmer. She believes that Amber Heard is lying about claims that Johnny Depp beat her multiple times during their short 15-month marriage.

Just days after Johnny Depp’s mother died, Amber Heard filed for divorce. Just two days later, Depp fans were shocked by allegations that he had been abusive to his wife and that the divorce was the result of a brutal beating. Amber claims that she was on the phone with iO Tillet Wright from MTV’s Suspect when the assault occurred. Amber claims that during the course of her phone conversation, Johnny became irate and grabbed the phone from here while cursing and screaming. She says he then “wound up (his) arm like a baseball pitcher” and threw the phone at her, striking Amber in the face. She also provided pictures of her bruised and scraped face to go along with the filing.

Police were called, reportedly by iO Tillet Wright, who witnessed the altercation from the other end of the phone line. Amber Heard claims she could hear iO on the other end of the phone, yelling for her to get out of the house. Afterward, she said, “He then forcibly pulled back my hair as I attempted to stand on the sofa,” she alleges. “Johnny continued screaming at me, pulling my hair, striking me and violently grabbing my face.”

Police did respond to a call at Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s residence that night. They found that no crime had been committed and no arrests were made. The matter was completely dropped until Amber filed for divorce and then, days later, filed for a temporary restraining order.

“During the entirety of our relationship, Johnny Depp has been verbally and physically abusive to me,” Heard said in a sworn statement. “He has a short fuse. He is often paranoid and his temper is exceptionally scary for me.”

Amber Heard’s divorce filing included a request for spousal support. Depp immediately filed a request to deny support through his attorney Laura Wasser and that is why many believe that Heard released details about the alleged abuse that she suffered at the hands of Johnny Depp. It wasn’t until two days after she filed for divorce and after Wasser responded and asked the judge to deny spousal support that Amber requested a temporary restraining order and claimed to be afraid that Depp would hurt her again.

Depp’s rep has since released a statement about his pending divorce. It reads, “Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent trend and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the spacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life. Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly.”

Johnny Depp’s ex-wife Lori Anne Allison says she doesn’t believe any part of Amber Heard’s claims that Johnny Depp has been abusive to her. She said that Johnny “never got physical” with her while they were together and that he was one of the most gentle people that she knew.
