Harry Styles And Louis Tomlinson Will Reunite, According To Simon Cowell

Harry Styles has a lot going on for him right now with his blossoming acting career and solo music, but Simon Cowell insists that Harry isn’t going to pull a Zayn Malik by ditching One Direction for good.

Ever since One Direction announced its hiatus that has no concrete end date, there have been persistent reports that Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Liam Payne will never ever get back together. However, Harry’s band mates aren’t Taylor Swift, and there’s no bad blood between Harry and his old BFF Louis.

According to Unreality TV, rumors have been floating around about an alleged falling out between Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson. An October 2015 article by The Sun fanned the flames of the feud speculation by claiming that Harry and Louis haven’t been able to stand one another since the beginning of 2012. The report alleges that Harry Styles plans on using One Direction’s time off to pursue a solo career, and, if he proves to be a success, he’ll simply inform his band mates that he’s making their temporary break a permanent one. The Sun also recently claimed that Harry Styles “wants to move as far away from the band as possible” by leaving Simon Cowell’s Syco label and signing with Universal.

However, during a TV interview with E! News, Simon Cowell seemed pretty confident that the band will get back together; he’s just not certain when it will happen.

“Eventually, I think, yeah,” Simon said when he was asked if the four remaining members of One Direction will ever reunite.

However, as MTV News reports, Simon Cowell pointed out that the boys have proven that they don’t need the band to be successful.

“Harry’s doing a movie. Liam is now dating Cheryl and he’s writing songs for some of our artists. Louis, I saw a couple weeks ago. He did something with me recently on the show, which will come out.”

Simon didn’t mention any projects that Niall Horan is working on, but he did say that the Irish singer recently texted him and that he’s also “in a good place.” “The show” Simon referenced is likely America’s Got Talent; as the Inquisitr previously reported, Louis Tomlinson is guest-judging an episode of the reality competition.

The movie Simon mentioned is Dunkirk, director Christopher Nolan’s World War II action-thriller. Harry Styles got his hair cut before filming began earlier this month, and the singer donated it to charity. As Entertainment Tonight points out, Harry also traded his beloved skinny jeans for a pair of high-waisted dad pants to portray a 1940s soldier.

Simon Cowell also made no mention of Harry Styles’ new music during his E! News interview. As BBC News reports, Snow Patrol guitarist Johnny McDaid recently confirmed that he and Harry have been collaborating together.

“Harry is a really prolific artist and a super-talented guy,” McDaid said. “He’s really authentic and he has an incredible voice, so we’ve been writing a lot of songs. We’ve been writing songs for years together.”

McDaid has no idea when Harry will release his first solo single, but he seems to think that the Dunkirk star will give Zayn Malik a run for his money.

“I’m really excited by the way he’s sounding at the minute, he’s such a talent,” McDaid gushed. “I think the world is going to be really shocked at what he comes up with.”

One Republic frontman Ryan Tedder also revealed that he’s been working with Harry Styles, and he says that they’re writing something together that will be featured on Harry’s solo album. Tedder shares McDaid’s high opinion of Styles’ songwriting skills.

“He’s always writing songs,” Tedder told The Sun. “He’s a brilliant writer.”

One Direction fans will have to wait and see if they agree with Ryan Tedder and Johnny McDaid’s assessment of Harry Styles’ solo material. And if Directioners don’t like it, they can take comfort in knowing that One Direction will get back together someday.
