Corey Feldman Wants To ‘Name Names’ In Hollywood Pedophilia Accusations

Elijah Wood seems to have re-opened some old wounds for Corey Feldman with his remarks about child molestation in Hollywood, and while Wood may have restated his position and denied knowledge of any direct instances of pedophilia, Feldman is less likely to rescind anything he has said on the issue. In fact, Corey spoke out about being victimized himself and was quick to add that he would back up anyone wishing to bring formal accusations to Hollywood pedophiles.

The Lost Boys Star Corey Feldman Opens Up About Being Victimized By Hollywood Moguls

This is not the first time Corey has detailed his own experiences of child molestation as a young actor, having previously revealed how he was victimized by men in the film industry in the A&E reality series The Two Coreys and in his 2013 memoir, Coreyography. While Feldman was entertaining fans in such films as The Lost Boys (1987), Stand By Me (1986), and The Goonies (1985), the actor reveals a life behind the camera as a traumatizing existence marred by the demands of Hollywood pedophiles.

Corey says he lives a happy life and has everything anyone might dream of for themselves, but he points out that the road to that good life was marked by years of therapy, group therapy, and rehabilitation. A father now, Feldman looks back on his experiences and those of Lost Boys co-star Corey Haim with concern for his own son. While Haim was directly raped at the hands of a predator, Feldman experienced ongoing molestations. Still, it seems Feldman handled the aftermath differently than Haim, which Corey now says was just a matter of his own ability to draw strength from the victimization.

“My son is 11 now, and I can’t even begin to fathom the idea of something like that happening to him. It would destroy his whole being. As I look at my son, a sweet, innocent, 11-year-old boy and then try to put him in Corey Haim’s shoes, I go, ‘Oh my God — well of course he was erratic and not well-behaved on sets and things like that.’ What more could we expect of him really? Everybody deals with things differently.”

Growing up together on the sets of the same films, Feldman and Haim became fast friends and bonded in ways that few ever do in similar situations, so Corey reveals that they knew everything about each other’s molestation and rape experiences.

Corey Feldman Takes The Heat For Not Coming Forward

It might be said that Corey is once again being victimized by Hollywood, especially with so many people attacking him for being a coward and not coming forward about his own child molestation instances. The pressure has grown even more, when Feldman revealed that at least one of the perpetrators is still in a position of power in Hollywood. As Feldman discussed this, he pointed out that, even if he were to risk his own livelihood by stepping forward, the expired statute of limitations would still prevent the prosecution of anyone he named as a pedophile.

“I’m not able to name names. People are frustrated, people are angry, they want to know how is this happening, and they want answers…I have to deal with that, which is not pleasant, especially given the fact that I would love to name names. I’d love to be the first to do it,” says Feldman. “But unfortunately California conveniently enough has a statute of limitations that prevents that from happening.”

Corey says that pursuing the matter is in the hands of California’s legal system and that the current laws in the state are stacked against the victims.

“Because if I were to go and mention anybody’s name I would be the one that would be in legal problems and I’m the one that would be sued,” says the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles actor. “We should be talking to the district attorneys and the lawmakers in California, especially because this is where the entertainment industry is and this is a place where adults have more direct and inappropriate connection with children than probably anywhere else in the world.”

Corey Feldman does say that he would be first in line to back up another, more current victim, if he or she chose to take a stand against these same men. Feldman points out that the problem of older men preying on little boys hasn’t gone away. In fact, it’s gotten worse. The advent of the internet has enabled grown men the ability to reach out to children and promise them fame and fortune as a child actor, and once they’re hooked, they shortly become victims. Feldman says the rapes and molesting begin when the parents of these child actors allow directors and producers to take them to big Hollywood parties.

“One of the guys, the main guy who molested me, he actually was an employee of my father’s. My father hired this man and this man coaxed me into trying every single drug that I ever tried. He says, ‘Hey I’m going to be your best friend. I’ll take you to Disneyland, I’ll take you to the Comedy Store.’ He was my assistant, my driver, my chaperon, and also basically my guardian.”

Professionally, Corey Feldman is still acting with such films as Corbin Nash and The Sunday Night Slaughter currently in production. Additionally, Feldman is pursuing a music career. Corey just released a single from his upcoming album, Angelic 2 the Core, and the first single is called “Go 4 It.” The album will see a June 22 release.
