Khloe Kardashian Dishes On Getting A Thong At 13 And Why It’s Inappropriate, Dating Advice, And A Sweet Memory Of Her Father [Video]

Khloe Kardashian definitely thinks 13-years-old is too young to be wearing a thong — and said why on her private website. Revealing that she got her first thong at age 13, Khloe admitted it was one of the worst experiences of her teenage years, calling the underpants “so uncomfortable” that she didn’t understand why anyone would wear them.

And she got the thong from an unlikely place. According to Khloe Kardashian, the underwear was a prize in a plastic egg during an Easter celebration! Writing to her fans that “I was 13 or 14 when I got my first thong in an Easter egg,” Kardashian shared that she’s not sure if the present was meant for her or her sisters.

“Kim and Kourtney were older, so it could’ve been for them,” Khloe confessed, without revealing who possibly gave her the unusual gift.

Khloe wore the thong, even though it was “the worst feeling,” Kardashian recalled, “because I just thought it was what you’re supposed to wear.”

Her mother, Kris Jenner, caught on pretty quick that 13-year-old Khloe was not comfortable, and “I even remember my mom asking me what was wrong and I was too embarrassed to say.”

Although she received the underwear at a very tender age, Khloe Kardashian confirmed she doesn’t think it’s appropriate for a young girl to be wearing adult underwear, concluding on her website that “I was 13 — I shouldn’t have been wearing a thong!”

Kardashian also recalled much better (and age-appropriate) gifts she got as a teenager: a Prada bag from her mother when she was 13 and a pair of knee-high Dolce Gabbana boots from her attorney father, Robert Kardashian.

Calling the Prada bag “the coolest thing ever,” Khloe shared that the purse “was the first time I was allowed to have anything designer,” but it certainly wasn’t her last! Remembering that her father gave her the Dolce Gabbana boots, Kardashian described them as “so punk rock” with “safety pins all up and down the back.”

But the boots also have a particular emotional value for Khloe, who confirmed she still has those very boots, and “would wear them to this day,” since they “remind me of [her father],” who has since passed away.

Khloe also dished on her exes recently, offering up some dating advice to her fans who might be suffering from heartbreak.

Kardashian, who certainly has suffered her own fair share of broken relationships, revealed, “I don’t believe that there is a timeline for grieving or healing or getting over someone or something,” adding that “we all heal on our own time – some are faster than others, and I think some loves are really just harder to get over than others.”

Khloe Kardashian, who recently filed for divorce again from her husband, Lamar Odom, advised fans to stay busy.

“I would say the busier you are, the less you’re going to think about something, so try to consume your thoughts with really productive things,” Khloe suggested, adding that getting over heartbreak is easier if you “just find a hobby and keep yourself busy in a really positive way, or surround yourself by friends and family that you love and that really do occupy your mind.”

Khloe also advised her followers that it’s really important to be surrounded by your loved ones when trying to heal from a personal tragedy, recounting from her experience with her own breakups that “the more alone you are, the more you think about something, and you’re just going to overthink it and our brains play tricks on us, which is never healthy.”
