Jenelle Evans Avoids Charges, Gets Restraining Order Against Gary Head

Jenelle Evans got a little good news this morning. The reality star, who was in court after being arrested for simple assault and possession of marijuana, had all charges against her dropped.

E! Online reports that Evans was being charged with simple assault, marijuana possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.

The charges stem from an incident in June when Evans was arrested after an altercation with her ex-boyfriend Gary Head.

Evans was also granted a restraining order from Head.

Evans attorney Dustin Sullivan said:

“Jenelle was very pleased with the results today in court. She is excited to have this chapter of her life behind her and feels confident that she will be protected with the no-contact order in place…. As for what this means for Jenelle, she has another set of charges dismissed and she can move on with her life.”

Evans wrote on Twitter:

“Court is over. Gary Head plead guilty to assault on a female and all my charges were dropped.”

Are you happy for Jenelle Evans? Do you think this will be the end of her legal troubles?

Evans wrote on her website that she is looking for a “fresh start.”

Evans wrote:

“I’ve been thinking lately, that I have more support then I thought I did… I keep stressing like my life is going to break, but then I realize everything is okay. I’m straightening up my life for the better and happy with it for once … starting a fresh start in a bigger city, starting a job, going to school in the fall.”
