Kate Hudson On How Being ‘Moody’ Helps Her Maintain Her Killer Physique

Kate Hudson has one of the most well-maintained physiques in Hollywood, and she strives to be perfectly toned. Pop Sugar reports that the 37-year-old actress will feature on the cover page of the June 2016 issue of Shape magazine and has shared some of her best-kept secrets about her physical fitness.

The actress revealed that she never plans a structured exercise regimen, as she considers herself to be a “moody” person and knows that she needs to change the structure of her workouts depending on her mood at the time. She stressed the importance of connecting with herself to understand her emotions and feelings, and only then can she make a decision about the type of workout she will do that day to achieve a perfect emotional and physical balance. That’s why her fitness schedule includes aggression workout techniques like boxing classes and boot camp, along with other less aggressive options. But the most important set of exercises that she follows religiously is pilates, the physical fitness system which she says has enabled her to achieve a body breakthrough.

E! Online reports that Kate Hudson spoke about her devotion to the exercise system, which she discovered at the age of 19.

“It’s the workout my body really responds to. It’s all about alignment, elongating your spine, and strengthening your core. It makes me feel my strongest.”

Kate Hudson also enjoys a variety of outdoor activities like walking and bicycle riding, and she credits her Colorado upbringing for making her into a self-confessed “nature lover.”

In fact, when she visits places like Amsterdam, which is endowed with natural beauty, she takes the opportunity to enjoy a good bicycle ride. And while in New York, she never forgets to refresh herself by taking a brisk walk from downtown to uptown Manhattan while listening to music through headphones.

Another important factor that has contributed towards Kate Hudson’s physical fitness is her well-balanced diet, which features a variety of foods. In terms of food and diet, Kate Hudson has taken after her mother Goldie Hawn.

According to Inside Toronto, Kate Hudson believes that enjoying good food is an important part of being healthy and happy overall.

The actress has fond memories of enjoying different types of cuisines while growing up and says that she grew up in a “joyful” house that appreciated good food. Her mother’s Indian connection and her father’s southern upbringing served as a strong influence on the family cooking. She says that her family was always trying out different dishes and that she has fond memories of eating biscuits and gravy, chicken and dumplings, and Indian curries and dal. In particular, Sundays used to be exciting when she was growing up, as the family would often have guests over to enjoy Sunday dinner together.

Kate Hudson strives to be healthy without being obsessed with her diet and fitness regime. The actress travels a lot and makes it a point to enjoy the specialty of the place she is visiting without being too indulgent. She has revealed that German bratwurst is one of her favorite foods, and she never misses the chance to enjoy the German specialty while visiting the country.

In line with her enthusiasm for physical fitness, Kate Hudson launched Fabletics, the online subscription retailer that sells women’s sportswear and accessories. The athletic outfits are personalized based on the customer’s workout preferences and their desired fashion style. By setting up Fabletics along with co-founders Adam Goldenberg and Don Ressler, Kate Hudson has set a trend that will enable women to lead a life of simplicity and positivity by adopting a fit and active lifestyle.

According to the Charlotte Observer, Fabletics will be soon opening its retail outlet in the South Park mall.

Kate Hudson’s Fabletics brand aims to clear the mind and harness the power of positive thinking through physical fitness and better eating. Ultimately, for Kate Hudson, physical fitness is more than a style statement. It is something to be taken care of and prioritized on a day-to-day basis.
