Chewbacca Mom Is Not Done Yet, Her 15 Minutes Of Fame Continues On
It looks like that infectious laugh that has been heard around the world will continue on, at least as long as others want to listen to it. Chewbacca mom, Candace Payne, is having the time of her life, and she is not done yet. This adorable lady may just be hanging around for a while longer.
Most people by now have seen the viral video that Payne is now so famous for. Who knew that recording a simple video of yourself having a bit of fun with a Chewbacca mask would turn into such a rage? The mom-of-two has since been traveling from New York City to Los Angeles to talk about her popular video. As USA Today has reported, she is not done making people laugh just yet. Her 15 minutes of fame has suddenly turned into something more, at least for now, and she is happy with whatever comes her way.

“They want that story of an average person feeling like you’ve been given the world, and that’s what I feel like. I feel like I’ve been given the world, and the sky is the limit.”
Her infectious laugh was first heard on a Facebook Live video that she posted on her account last week. She had just purchased a Chewbacca mask at Kohl’s just for fun. Somehow she was bitten by the happy bug because that mask brought her so much joy and fun that she burst out in hysterical laughter and it was contagious!
It was the laugh heard around the world. The video went viral after everyone who watched it started sharing it with their friends. Candace Payne is now known as Chewbacca mom and is famous in her own right.
While recently touring the Facebook headquarters, the Grand Prairie, Texas, resident got to hang out with Chewbacca and was also presented with an award for racking up 141 million views, which makes it the most-watched Facebook Live video ever.

Candace Payne also made it on Good Morning America and got to drive James Corden and J.J. Abrams around while donning their own Chewbacca masks. She is definitely having the best time making her rounds at various talk shows and interviews, and it looks like this just may be the beginning for her.
Chewbacca mom says that she is being presented with some opportunities, and now has to decipher which ones she feels will be true to who she is. She admits to being a woman of faith. She believes that God has given her these opportunities to share her life, and of course, her laughter, with millions of people. She is currently being asked to speak in various churches right now as well.
The 37-year-old mom admits that she adores Star Wars and hamming it up. She has already toured the Lucasfilm headquarters in San Francisco. She is also enjoying all of the people that she has met on this journey of hers. She told People recently that even though she has met some famous stars, it is the ordinary people that she is most impressed with.
“I’ll tell you that the people that I’ve met the past few days have just been incredible people – and not just the ones that I’ve been sitting on the couch with. Those on the street, or in the hotel, or in the airports wanting to take a photo with me. I’ve just been blessed.”
Doors are opening up for this lady known as Chewbacca mom and she is being embraced all over the place. She had previously mentioned that maybe her video went viral because in this day of negativity and worrisome issues, people need some joy and humor in their lives, and this Facebook video seemed to bring that back to those who needed a good hearty laugh.
