‘DWTS’ Update: Nyle DiMarco’s Interpreter Ramon Norrod Reveals What Landed Him In The Hospital

News came out before the big Monday episode of Dancing with the Stars that Nyle DiMarco’s interpreter, Ramon Norrod, had been in a car accident. There was very little information out at the time. Now, Nyle’s interpreter Ramon is sharing on Facebook exactly what went down and why he wasn’t by Nyle’s side on DWTS this week. Nyle’s interpreter wasn’t actually in a car accident, but something did happen that kept him from being on the show.

The Inquisitr reported on the original report from Radar Online. They had been told that Ramon was in a car accident, and as a result, he would not be with Nyle on the show. The source heard that Ramon was in a bad car accident and was rushed to the hospital. It turns out that he was taken to the hospital, but just not from an accident like was reported originally.

Everyone is used to seeing Ramon Norrod standing by Nyle DiMarco every single week on the show. Ramon actually picked up his own fans from being on the show. The second that he wasn’t on the show everyone noticed that Nyle’s right-hand man was missing.

Here is what Ramon went to his page and shared.

“I just wanted to fill you in on why I will not be working on the finale. I was not in a car accident but I am, currently, recovering in the hospital. On Saturday I had an awkward fall onto my groin and damaged my urethra. I had to get a colostomy bag. I went back to work the next day but that night my bag wasn’t filling up and my abdomen was sore and distended. I decided to go back to the ER and after tests found out they nicked my bladder while doing the bag and urine was filling my abdominal cavity.????????Don’t usually post about work but this time I have to say win this @petamurgatroud @nyledimarco!! Get that mirror ball ?#?redefiningdance.”

Luckily, even though Ramon Norrod didn’t get to be there to watch Nyle DiMarco on the finale, he did win the show. Everyone is glad to hear that Nyle’s interpreter is doing well and should heal up nicely.

Glamour shared that Nyle DiMarco gave them an update on Ramon’s condition. Nyle simply said that Ramon was sick and that they had another guy take over. Nyle did just fine without him, though. After his finale dance, he shared his thoughts on what Carrie Ann said about it being the best dance in the show’s history.

“It really touched me. I don’t mean to use the deaf card often, but as a deaf guy, [the fact that] I was able to produce the best dance in 22 seasons [is incredible]. I think that’s really what makes it the best and more personal.”

Being on a dancing show and being deaf is a bit of a challenge, but Nyle DiMarco did great the entire time. He was able to move to the music even though he couldn’t hear it. One of Nyle’s best performances had him dancing without being able to see or hear. Nyle may have changed this show forever by showing how much you can do even if you can’t hear the music. Nyle DiMarco impressed everyone with his moves during this season.
