‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Spoilers: Who Is Returning To The Show?
Grey’s Anatomy fans are used to characters leaving town and dying, but they rarely return. However, that’s not the case with one Grey Sloan doctor who will be likely returning to the show in the near future.
According to Unreality TV, the most recent loss of Dr. Callie Torres on Grey’s Anatomy won’t be permanent. The character will probably return to Seattle and to her hospital family in the future.
Recently, Grey’s Anatomy creator, Shonda Rhimes revealed at New York’s Vulture Festival that there is a really good chance actress Sara Ramirez will return as Callie Torres, referring to Sara’s departure as just a “break.”
“This one was interesting. It was different because it wasn’t a big, planned thing,” Shonda told reporters, revealing that it was Ramirez’s idea to say goodbye to Callie, at least for now.
“Sara came and said, ‘I really need to take this break,'” Rhimes said, adding that she felt “sort of lucky” that they had ended the season with Callie leaving to go to New York and be with her girlfriend Penny.
Meanwhile, Grey’s Anatomy Season 13 could bring around some very big drama that has nothing to do with Callie’s departure. There is so much happening in the lives of TV’s most popular doctors, and fans can’t wait to find out how it will all play out.
When last we left main character, Meredith Grey, she had talked Amelia into following her heart and walking down the aisle to marry Owen. However, she was flustered about her steamy hookup with Owen’s former best friend, Nathan Riggs.
Grey’s Anatomy fans watched as Meredith appeared to be open to falling in love again for the first time since Derek’s death, and Nathan could very well be the man she decides to take that huge step with. There is just one problem, and that is that Meredith’s sister, Maggie, is also crushing on Dr. Riggs.
It looks like viewers might have a bit of a sisterly love triangle on their hands when Season 13 debuts in the fall, but that won’t be the only romantic drama fans will see.
In the Grey’s Anatomy Season 12 finale, viewers found that Jo refused to marry Alex because she’s already married. Jo revealed that she was married once before to a very abusive man and that she had to escape him and change her name. The two are still married, and if he finds her he’ll surely hurt her again. Although Alex doesn’t know this yet, he’ll likely have a lot to say about it when the secret finally comes out.
The show’s fan favorite couple, Jackson and April, will also have a huge new storyline. Viewers are rooting for the pair, who became parents during the Season 12 finale, to finally get back together. Now that they have a baby together, it seems that they’ll be drawn to each other even more, which could lead the romantic reunion fans have been waiting so long for.
Some Grey’s Anatomy viewers are also hoping it could be a season of love for Arizona Robbins. Now that Callie is off in New York with Penny, what will the future hold for Arizona? It has been a long time since she’s had a love interest, and fans would absolutely love to watch Arizona fall in love again, even though many viewers are secretly hoping she and Callie are endgame.
It may be months until Grey’s Anatomy Season 13 premieres on ABC, but fans are already excited for the possibility of another amazing season, which could see Callie returning to Grey Sloan if Sara Ramirez decides to come back to the show.
