The video is believed to have been shot in night vision to give in a very 1 Night in Paris feel, and sources claim the tape is pretty awful. According to Perez Hilton, the 23-yaer-old singer made the tape with her ex-boyfriend, and she is only recognizable because of a diamond and sparrow tattoo.

The footage is rumored to have been shot last year but only recently surfaced. According to DB Techno, it is unclear at this time if Dev knew she was being videotaped at the time of the tryst or if the footage is more of the hidden camera variety.

Oddly enough, the site that broke the story, TMZ, has since removed its original post from circulation, which either means they received a take down notice or are experiencing a website issue. In the meantime, several other publications including those listed above continue to report on the Dev sex tape scandal.

With the type of loyal following that can come from a sex tape, I wouldn’t be surprised if Dev is trying to pull a Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian, although that type of popularity is often a one in a thousand attempt at fame.

Sure, the Dev sex tape allegedly being shopped around may end up being real and sub-par, but the entertainment industry excels in selling sub-par material to the public.
