Miley Cyrus’ Dad Dishes Liam Hemsworth Engagement & Baby Rumors: Did She Push Adam Levine Off ‘The Voice’?

Miley Cyrus has become known as a “Wrecking Ball” for her antics as well as song choices. But while Miley isn’t particularly skilled at smoothly glossing over and around delicate topics, her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, knows just how to avoid answering questions directly, such as the truth about the rumors that his daughter is engaged to be married to Liam Hemsworth.

Miley and Liam rekindled their romance and have indulged in some very public displays of affection, and Cyrus has even been seen flaunting the engagement ring that Hemsworth gave her during their first engagement (which was subsequently broken off). However, when Billy Ray was asked if she is engaged again, Miley’s father just dished about their happiness rather than confirm or deny, noted the Daily Mail.

But what was clear in his answer is that Cyrus, 54, is content to let Miley marry Liam, teasingly commenting that he is willing to play any role she desires, whether it is the preacher or the butler, as long as his daughter is happy.

“Here’s what I do know. They’re so happy. That’s the main thing,” declared Cyrus about Miley and Hemsworth. “Just seeing these—I still call ’em kids—these two kids happy, that’s all that matters.”

Although Miley and Liam have not offered a public statement about whether they are engaged again, Billy Ray joked that he has plans to attend the ceremony if and when they wed. And he took it one step further.

“If any of my kids decide that they’re gonna have a wedding of any kind, whatever role they want me to play, I’ll be there. They want me to be the butler—that’s fine. Whatever they choose. I might make a good preacher.”

As for Hemsworth, he has stoically refused to discuss his relationship with Miley. Like her father, Liam prefers to discuss general topics such as their happiness.

“Everyone’s happy. I’m happy. Yeah… I just find it’s easier to not talk about my personal life because usually I say the wrong thing, so it ends up just complicating things more. So, I feel like it’s better not to talk about it,” said Hemsworth firmly.

The rumors that they were engaged began early this year when Miley was flaunting her 3.5 carat diamond engagement ring, which she originally received when they were engaged the first time in 2012. However, the two then split in 2013.

Now that Cyrus and Hemsworth are together again, it’s not just engagement rumors that are swirling. Reports that Miley is pregnant with Liam’s baby also have escalated. And that’s one topic where her father was more willing to be candid.

Billy Ray initially was coy with Extra when asked about whether when Miley and Liam are getting married.

“Which one? Oh, okay, Miley? ‘Cause I have a lot of kids, you know,” teased Cyrus. “I don’t think there’s any plans set right now. Soon as I know, I’ll let you know.”

But when he was asked about the rumors that Miley is pregnant, Cyrus hastened to set the record straight.

“Um, no, there’s nothing like that,” declared Billy Ray.

And while there’s reportedly no baby bump blossoming, there is a feud firing up between Miley and Adam Levine on The Voice.

Cyrus took on the role of key adviser this season, and will join Alicia Keys in becoming a coach along with Adam on the upcoming season of The Voice, according to Us Weekly, which quotes an insider describing the feud.

“[Levine and Cyrus] totally butted heads… They find each other annoying. Adam would get agitated when Miley would interrupt him, and she enjoyed getting under his skin.”

But did Cyrus take her pleasure in annoying Levine too far, to the point of pushing him to exit The Voice? Rumors are swirling that Adam is leaving the show, according to ET.

Levine, 37, is looking forward to welcoming his first baby with his wife Behati Prinsloo. And although he supposedly is returning to The Voice with his buddy Blake Shelton, as well as Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys, even the contestants on the team had heard the rumors that he would exit The Voice.

“We didn’t know that Adam would be leaving to have his family next year, so, I mean, it’s so awesome to have the opportunity to have him as a coach,” Season 10 contestant Laith Al-Saadi told ET.

Levine played coy rather than answer the question of whether he is leaving The Voice.

“I’m gonna leave here and I don’t even know where I’m going. I don’t think that far ahead. We’ll see,” teased Adam.
