The final day of the 2016 IPL group stage will stream live Sunday as Sunrisers Hyderbad fights for playoff position against Kolkata Knight Riders, who must win to have a chance to qualify for the Indian Premier League Final Four. And in the other match of the day, also with major playoff implications, Royal Challengers Bangalore take on Delhi Daredevils with both teams needing a victory to secure advancement.
Captained by Australia international opening batsman David Warner, with a bowling attack led by 20-year-old Bangladesh sensation Mustafizur Rahman, Sunrisers Hyderabad can literally clinch their playoff spot at the coin toss. With 16 points from their 8-5-0 record, their net run rate of +0.355 means that if they bat first, Sunrisers are insured of at least second place even if they lose to Kolkata.

Of course, another factor in the first match of the day will be weather. Rains are in the outlook for Kolkata on Sunday, and bad weather means good news for the home team. A washout automatically puts Knight Riders into the postseason tournament, in fourth position, while Sunrisers would stay in second place.

If the game is played, however, Kolkata may be at a disadvantage, with star West Indies all-rounder Andre “Superman” Russell ruled out of the game with a sore hamstring.
No matter what happens, the opening playoff game will pit Sunrisers Hyderabad against Gujarat Lions in the qualifier match on Tuesday.
