Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth Wedding: Father Billy Ray Cyrus To Marry Couple?
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have had little to say about their recently rekindled romance, but that’s not stopping Miley’s father Billy Ray Cyrus from talking about his daughter’s relationship.
Admittedly, Billy Ray didn’t spill too many details — he declined to confirm whether Miley and Liam are even engaged — but he did say that he’s ready to step into any role requested of him at the rumored wedding.
He didn’t limit his remarks to the alleged wedding between Miley and Liam, of course. Instead, Billy Ray Cyrus kept it vague and told E! News that he’d be willing to do anything at a wedding for any of his children.
“If any of my kids decide that they’re gonna have a wedding of any kind, whatever role they want me to play, I’ll be there, you know what I mean? They want me to be the butler—that’s fine. Whatever they choose. I might make a good preacher.”
Does that mean Billy Ray is preparing to performed the preacher duties and marry Miley and Liam? Not necessarily. In fact, despite the evidence to the contrary, Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus have declined to confirm their engagement.
That hasn’t stopped the rumors, though — especially since Miley has begun wearing the engagement ring Hemsworth gave to her the first time they got engaged. Additionally, Miley has been spotted out and about with Liam and his family many times since January, and rumors have even begun to circulate that Miley and Liam may have a baby on the way.
The two actors have a long and storied history together, as they were expected to get married several years ago. Instead, Miley and Liam split in 2013 amid rumors that Liam had cheated on Miley with actress January Jones.

At the time, the couple, who had previously split several times throughout their three-year relationship, appeared to be done for good. Miley moved on with Patrick Schwarzenegger, while Liam was linked to Eiza Gonzalez.
But in January of 2016, the former Hannah Montana actress was spotted in Australia at the Falls Music Festival in Byron Bay, hanging with none other than Liam and his family.
The pair apparently “picked up where they left off,” according to sources — until they reportedly split again in March after Miley Cyrus was allegedly caught texting ex Stella Maxwell.
At the time, an unnamed source for Hollywood Life said the Liam and Miley split was untrue and that Miley believed she would marry Liam Hemsworth “no matter what.”
“Miley knows that Liam is her soulmate and they got back together for a reason. She truly believes love will find a way and she will marry Liam no matter what trouble they end up getting in. As for Liam totally breaking things off, that hasn’t happened. There is strain but they both know that they have to work to make it work. It is not over yet!”
Whether or not Miley and Liam will marry remains to be seen, but Billy Ray Cyrus did indicate to E! News that the Hunger Games actor and Miley are happy together.
“Here’s what I do know. They’re so happy. That’s the main thing. Miley and I, we always had this slogan—’If you ain’t happy, it ain’t working.’ Just seeing these—I still call ’em kids—these two kids happy, that’s all that matters.”
