Kylie Jenner’s Lip Kits Come Packed With More Problems

There’s even more problems involved with Kylie Jenner’s popular lip kits. This recent problem is causing the starlet to repackage the products.

Ever since Kylie Jenner’s lip kits launched last year, there’s been nonstop issues associated with them. First of all, the lip kits are so hard to get your hands on, even during a restock. Some even took to social media to complain that they never received the lip kits that they ordered. Then there were issues with the packaging. Fellow makeup artist Jeffree Star shared his experience and said that the product was faulty.

Some beauty bloggers claimed that the lip kits are the same product as ColourPop’s Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks, just more expensive. Then there was also a data breach on Kylie Jenner’s website, which caused personal information to get into the wrong hands. Now according to TMZ, the lip kits have received even more complaints from the Better Business Bureau because customers are receiving the boxes without the actual product in them.

“Currently the BBB is receiving multiple complaints from this company’s customers claiming that after ordering and paying for products, some or all of the products are not being shipped as expected,” an alert on the BBB’s website says.

The BBB believes that people are either stealing the lip kits while in transit or from people’s doorsteps. Kylie Cosmetics have already responded to the complaints, claiming that the products are in such high demand and have identifiable packaging that thieves are able to notice the package and remove the lip kits from the box, which is why customers have ended up with the empty boxes.

Kylie Cosmetics is also taking action in this matter. They informed the BBB that they will change the packaging so it’s a little more discreet. This comes after the news that beauty blogger Stephanie Nicole informed readers on the actual ingredients of Kylie Jenner’s Lip Kits in a recent YouTube video. She found out that the lip kits do have the same ingredients as the ColourPop lipsticks, which only costs $6.

Stephanie claims that two products having the same ingredients is not the problem, it’s the huge gap in price, especially since both products are made in Spatz Labs. Both are even formulated the same way, but the real issue is the quality of the product. She claims that ColourPop has better quality since it’s creamier whereas Kylie Jenner’s lip kits feel watery and thin.

“They have to pay Kylie Jenner because her name is on here. So that’s where all that extra money is going…it’s not going for product development. It’s not going for better ingredients. It’s not going for product development. It’s not going for better ingredients. It’s sure as sh*t not going for faster development.”

It shouldn’t take a lot of makeup or money to get Kylie Jenner’s full lips. She recently showed her fans how to get her signature nude lips even without having to fork money for her lip kits. Though it’s obvious that Jenner gets temporary lip fillers, you can still get the look just by using a few of her favorite products, according to her app.

To get a soft nude lip, she uses Kylie Lip Kit’s Dolce K liner (or ColourPop Lippie Pencil in Brink) and Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G. Lipstick in Nude Kate. First, line the outer edges of your lips and then fill your lips with the pencil. After applying the lipstick, rub your lips together to make sure it’s evenly applied. For that final touch, Jenner adds a swipe of dark mascara.

“I think a nude lip is so pretty, no matter where you’re going! You can keep it soft for daytime or amp it up and highlight the eyes with a dark mascara.”

Kylie says she uses Dior Diorshow Lash-Extension Effect Volume Mascara. What are your thoughts on her lip kits? Do you use them? Share your experience below in the comments section.
