Christina Aguilera-Whitney Houston Hologram Duet Video Pulled From YouTube And Vimeo — Still On Facebook, Twitter [Videos]

As seen below, the videos of Christina Aguilera and Whitney Houston (in hologram form) singing “I’m Every Woman” and “I Have Nothing” on the season finale of The Voice are hard videos for some folks to find. That’s because the leaked video footage that appeared on Vimeo and YouTube has been pulled down.

In plenty of articles, a search for Christina’s performance with a hologram version of Whitney is being met with messages that the video is no longer available. Searches on YouTube for the Houston-Aguilera performance are being met with results that feature news clips about the performance or messages that the video has been removed due to copyright claims. However, leave it to the good folks of Twitter and Facebook to come through with Christina’s performance with the late Houston that is being roundly discussed, searched for, praised, and criticized by people online.

According to TMZ, the duet between Christina and Whitney was scheduled to appear on the season finale of The Voice.

Another video of Christina and Whitney singing together shows the duo singing Houston’s famous “I Have Nothing” song with Whitney donning a white dress.

However, the surprise for Monday’s season finale was apparently scrapped despite all the buzz about Houston coming back to life in hologram form to sing her famous songs with Aguilera. The problems began when Whitney’s estate wasn’t happy with how the hologram form of Houston appeared in the final version of the video with Aguilera.

According to the famous publication, Whitney’s estate felt that the hologram just did not look like Whitney to them. Christina, meanwhile, was great.

When the Aguilera–Houston duet briefly popped up on the internet, as reported by TMZ, it caused plenty of buzz among Christina’s fans and Whitney’s fans. Originally, the video of Aguilera and Houston singing together ended up on Facebook. However, the promises from the above Twitter post linking to the full Facebook video prove that the video has been removed.

A search for copies of the Christina and Whitney hologram video on Facebook’s video tab proves the five-minute long video performance is still alive and well on Facebook as of this writing.

The publication reports that Christina was scheduled to sing a medley of Whitney’s top songs with the hologram figure of Houston.

As reported by ET, Pat Houston explained that the video of Houston and Aguilera contained technology that just didn’t make the cut in the eyes of Whitney’s loved ones. Pat’s statement said that while they appreciate the efforts made to create the Houston hologram, it wasn’t perfect enough for the standards set by Whitney’s legacy.

“We are so appreciative of the opportunity for the Whitney Houston hologram to appear on NBC’s The Voice with a talent pairing as extraordinary as Christina Aguilera and Whitney Houston. We were looking to deliver a groundbreaking duet performance for the fans of both artists. Holograms are new technology that take time to perfect, and we believe with artists of this iconic caliber, it must be perfect. Whitney’s legacy and her devoted fans deserve perfection. After closely viewing the performance, we decided the hologram was not ready to air. We have much respect and appreciation for Christina, and she was absolutely flawless.”

According to Facebook, the “Whitney Houston hologram duet” topic is trending.

The video begins with Christina singing Whitney’s hit song “I Have Nothing,” as a photo of Houston appears in the background. Aguilera then introduces Whitney to the cheering crowd.

“Ladies and gentleman, Whitney Houston!”

First donning a white dress and then a red dress, the hologram version of Whitney doesn’t appear to look like Houston in the sharper versions of the video still on Facebook.
