‘X-Men’ Actress Olivia Munn Gets In Superhero Shape To Play Psylocke

X-Men Apocalypse actress Olivia Munn, who plays Psylocke in the upcoming comic book based film, worked her butt off to achieve a smoking hot superhero body. The 35-year-old X-Men star also changed up her diet to include mostly fruits and vegetables.

Munn had the internet buzzing with rumors over her dramatic transformation for her upcoming role in X-Men: Apocalypse. Some were accusing her of using unhealthy measures to achieve Psylocke’s body.

Munn sat down to with Women’s Health to set the record straight. Her new stealth shape for X-Men: Apocalypse was all hard work and a strict diet.

“I started working out every single day, and then I also started getting into eating 20-80, where 80 percent of your diet is fruits and vegetables and 20 percent is whatever,” Munn told Women’s Health Magazine. “So, that can be any kind of meats or breads or anything else, but mostly fruits and vegetables.”

If you’re familiar with the telekinetic X-Men mutant Psylocke, you know achieving that hot superhero bod would be no easy task. Like most of the female mutants, she’s muscular, lean, well endowed, and super hot.

Olivia Munn appeared on the cover of Women’s Health Magazine, and it’s looking like she’s going to make an amazing X-Men mutant.

Olivia lost 12 pounds for her role in X-Men: Apocalypse as well as earning a black belt in tae kwon do, according to the New York Post. She found the sword training she had to do in order to play Psylocke “really empowering.”

Munn’s X-Men workout routine can be found in June’s issue of Women’s Health.

“My intention was to just get as fit and as healthy as I could be, for myself. A lot of times, people want to hoard their secrets to themselves. But whenever I learn things now.?.?. I want to tell anyone who wants to listen about them, because I don’t think guys are the only ones who should be able to look better as they age.”

Another X-Men star who is famously known for his vigorous work-out routines is Hugh Jackman, who plays Wolverine. X-Men fans had repeatedly been told Wolverine would not be appearing in X-Men: Apocalypse, but a brief clip of his claws was seen at the very end of the last trailer. The Inquisitr reported on Wolverine’s new role in the upcoming film.

Hugh Jackman’s role as Wolverine in the original X-Men movie was referred to as the perfect embodiment of a comic book character. With all the hard work Munn has put in for X-Men: Apocalypse, she is following in Jackman’s footsteps, although with a bit less fur.

Although it’s apparent Olivia used diet and exercise to achieve her toned Psylocke body, some people are still questioning whether or not the X-Men actress had plastic surgery. Her facial features appeared to have changed, and some felt it could not all be attributed to her weight loss. The Inquisitr reported on Olivia Munn’s plastic surgery accusations.

Munn denied having plastic surgery, claiming makeup, brow shaping, and weight loss were responsible for her facial changes. She posted this side by side on her Instagram account.

X-Men fans will not likely be disappointed by Munn’s performance as Psylocke, at least when it comes to her physical appearance. Olivia worked hard to embody X-Men’s Psylocke, and it has paid off. Despite the rumors, it all seems to be the result of diet and exercise and some great makeup.
