‘Alaskan Bush People’: Billy Brown’s Granddaughter From Secret Family Killed In Car Accident

Alaskan Bush People patriarch Billy Brown recently learned of the passing of a granddaughter from his “secret family” in Texas. The granddaughter is reportedly the daughter of Brown’s daughter from a secret marriage when he was only a teen.

Radar Online first broke the Alaskan Bush People news on May 13 that Billy Brown had a marriage and kids long before he met and married his current wife, Ami, and now Radar Online exclusively reports that a granddaughter of Brown’s from that secret marriage tragically passed in a car accident at age 14.

Several scandals have followed the Brown family around since Alaskan Bush People first aired on the Discovery Channel in April 2014. The Alaskan Bush People cast consists of nine family members, Billy Bryan Brown, 63, and his wife, Amora Branson Brown, who’s 11 years younger than Billy Brown, along with their seven children. Alaskan Bush People is supposedly a reality TV show about the Brown family who appear to be roughing it out in Alaska’s bush region, an area of Alaska that’s not connected to a road network or a ferry system.

However, there’s been some speculation during the show’s first two seasons that the Alaskan Bush People don’t actually live in Alaska as full-time residents.

Radar Online reported the first Alaskan Bush People scandal back in 2015 when Billy Brown admitted in front of a judge that he had left Alaska for three years but lied on state documents about his residency to receive state funding for his family in the sum of about $8,000 during those three years. Falsified fishing and gaming licenses verified the Brown family actually lived in both Colorado and Texas from 2009 to 2012 but were apparently back in the Alaskan bush for the filming of the first season of the Alaskan Bush People.

Another Alaskan Bush People scandal was revealed by Radar Online on May 13 that claimed Billy Brown actually had a secret family from a previous marriage back in 1969, 10 years prior to Brown meeting and wedding current wife, Ami. The report says that Tarrant County, Texas, court records show that Brown married a 17-year-old unidentified woman on October 23, 1969, when he was only 16-years-old.

An IMDb summary of Alaskan Bush People shares that Billy Brown was actually orphaned at age 16 after the tragic death of both of his parents in a plane accident. Fans of the Alaskan Bush People can only assume that Brown’s first marriage was also his first attempt at adulthood and living on his own.

Unfortunately, Billy Brown’s first marriage ended, but only after Brown had two children with his first wife. Those two children had never been publicly acknowledged by Brown until he spoke of his “secret” daughter in a video clip posted to People Magazine, according to Radar Online on May 17. In the Alaskan Bush People preview clip, Brown said that he hasn’t heard from his daughter in 30 years, and Ami, in fact, accepts Brown’s secret daughter as her own, saying “she will always be our daughter.” After those few words spoken by Billy and Ami, the video cuts to Brown’s 44-year-old secret daughter stepping off an airplane.

The granddaughter that Billy Brown recently lost in a car accident reportedly belongs to this secret daughter who Radar Online describes as a “figure with long platinum blond hair” who currently resides in Texas. Brown never had a relationship with either one of his secret children or any of his grandchildren from his first marriage, so it’s unclear as to whether or not he’ll actually attend his deceased 14-year-old granddaughter’s funeral. Brown is currently believed to be living in the Alaskan bush with Ami and their seven kids as Alaskan Bush People continues with Season 3 on the Discovery Channel amid rumors once again that the show is fake.

Radar Online recently reported that some fakery might be going on inside the Alaskan Bush People plot line, saying that a date Noah Brown went on in a recent episode of Alaskan Bush People was actually set up as part of the storyline. Noah Brown, 23, claims he met the woman that he was on the date with on Season 3, Episode 13, while in the lower 48 states. However, according to Radar Online and Channel Guide Magazine, the woman, Karryna Kauffman, is actually a short-film actress from California. Critics of Alaskan Bush People say it was pretty obvious in that episode that Kauffman was a hired actress and wonder how Alaskan Bush People doesn’t get canceled.
