Chicago’s Gage Park: Police Identify The Murderers Behind The Massacre Which Left An Entire Family Slain — Diego Uribe Cruz And Jafeth Ramos To Be Prosecuted

The two suspects responsible for the massacre at Chicago’s Gage Park which left six family members — including two children ages 10 and 13 — brutally murdered have been charged by prosecutors.

Chicago prosecutors have charged a man and a woman in the Chicago Gage Park massacre back in February. The victim’s deaths were were excruciatingly brutal as some of them were reported by the Chicago Sun-Timesin detail:

  • Noe Martinez — 62, stabbed 42 times during the massacre
  • Maria Herminia Martinez — shot four times in the head
  • Leonard Cruz — Maria’s 13 year old son, stabbed 12 times

The other victims were identified as Alexis Cruz, 10, Noe Martinez Jr., 38, and Rosaura Martinez, 58. A neighbor and Gage Park resident from Texas, Mayra Diego, was friends with the slain family. She described the family as quiet and peaceful.

The search for their bodies throughout the bungalow in Chicago was initiated on Feb. 4 after a friend of one of the victims, Noe Martinez Jr., noticed that he hadn’t shown up to his window cleaning job at O’Hare Airport for two days.

Chicago authorities working the Gage Park massacre case identified Diego Uribe Cruz, 22, and Jafeth Ramos, 19, as the perpetrators. The two have since been charged with the committing the massacre.

Interestingly enough, Cruz admitted to being related to one of the slain victims of the Gage Park massacre according to Chicago authorities.

Before this recent revelation, Chicago Police already suspected that multiple killers were involved in the Gage Park massacre. A massacre recorded as a robbery turned fatal in Chicago.

How were the Gage Park Murderers “Found-Out?”

Suspicions surrounding Cruz raised when witnesses in Chicago said that Cruz had cuts on his hands after carrying out the massacre at Gage Park. The unnamed Chicago witness reported their finding in detail to a retired police officer who then notified active Chicago police.

A surviving relative of the victims gruesomely massacred at Gage Park, Noemi Martinez, was happy to hear the news of her family’s killers being caught.

Of course we’re happy. We have been living in fear.

Noemi, 29, described what she thought of her slain family members to The Denver Post.

They were a normal family. Everything was fine.

Chicago court records show a clean slate regarding Diego Uribe Cruz’s criminal record prior to the Gage Park massacre. Ramos, on the other hand, was arrested by the Chicago police on Oct. 6, 2015, for allegedly shoplifting.

She was subsequently released on a $1,500 bond, according to court records.

The motive for the Gage Park massacre is still being uncovered as Chicago Police continue their investigation. In a related report by The Inquisitr, interim Chicago Police chief, John Escalante, claimed that the massacre was not a random act of violence.

I would understand that people would have a heightened sense of concern but really there is nothing at this point that leads us to believe that this was a random act and that somebody broke into the house.
