Why Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber Concerts Are Going In Opposite Directions

Just when Justin Bieber decides to decline any more selfies taken with fans, stating in his social network pages that he is tired of being treated like a zoo animal, the superstar’s ex-girlfriend goes in the opposite direction. In a recent radio interview with 107.9 The End, Selena Gomez states that she can’t get enough of her fans, saying in no uncertain terms that she definitely wants more fans approaching her and loves taking pictures with them.

In other words, while Justin Bieber is trying to withdraw from his fans, Selena Gomez is trying to draw them closer, revealing to 107.9 The End that the fans are “the best part of going on a concert tour.”

Selena just began her Revival concert tour this month. Meanwhile, her ex-boyfriend Justin is going through his Purpose world tour with an increasingly disengaging style as far as his fans are concerned. Is Justin Bieber already getting a burnout from his concert tour at this early in the game?

In contrast, Selena Gomez feels like she’s only just begun. The “Hands To Myself” singer is all excited about the next leg of her tour. That despite her lupus condition, which can be a tremendous disadvantage to anyone who is not as driven as the singer and actress. But instead of carrying her condition like an excess baggage, Gomez seems to carry the incurable, non-communicable disease like a trophy.

“The disconnect between Justin Bieber and his fans was evident in his Air Canada Center show,” said Now Toronto.

“The show began promisingly enough: Bieber floated in a Plexiglas cube above the stage, wearing a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey in front of a wraparound screen displaying Renaissance art. He spent much of the opening segment going up and down hydraulic elevators or ensconced in cages. It all seemed unnecessarily complicated, and if Bieber felt like he was going through the motions, he did little to dispel that impression.”

In her 107.9 interview, Selena Gomez says that she wishes that she could have an opportunity to just sit in front of her concert stage and do nothing but talk to her burgeoning fans all day. She also added that many of her fans have stayed loyal to her all these years, about “eighty percent of them.”

The Selena Gomez “recipe” for preventing fan attrition?

Kill Them With Kindness – which is also one of the hit singles on her most recent album. Apart from expressing how much she loves spending time with her loyal followers, Selena also discloses the type of person she is in the radio interview. She says that no matter how badly she gets treated by anybody, she never knows how to retaliate. She added that she probably picked up the habit from her mom.

“Of course, I get angry, I’m a woman,” but when it comes to hitting back, Selena says she just never learned how to generate negative energy. Gomez also discloses that she has no favorite makeup brand and that her favorite TV show is The Big Bang Theory.

Asked what was the last movie she watched, she replies, “How to Stay Single.” Selena still has a long way to go. After all, her Revival concert has a total of 75 stops. But the “Good For You” singer is happy that she has had three hit singles in a row. She also says that her being crowned Queen of Instagram actually came as a big surprise, although it appears that Mark Zuckerberg has commended her for it.

Maybe Justin Bieber can pick up a thing or two from his ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez. There are rumors that with the hit-and-miss attitude that he is currently displaying vis-a-vis his Purpose tour, there’s a good chance Justin might not even be able to finish the concert series. We certainly hope that doesn’t happen.

It’s probably time for the musical genius to consider just how much toll his cancellation of the Meet and Greet sessions is costing his fans. To illustrate, Hollywood Life has reported about how “six Beliebers lost $30,000 after canceled Meet and Greets.”

Again, we are only talking about six Beliebers. Considering that Bieber has millions of loyal followers, total losses are mind-boggling to imagine. And so, rather than climbing trees to contemplate his stardom, spirituality, or sexuality, Justin Bieber might instead want to consider that money doesn’t grow on trees.
