A Florida douchebag man was arrested Sunday and charged with animal cruelty after stabbing his girlfriend’s dog during an argument they were having about drugs and alcohol.

Michael Flowers and his girlfriend, Ginger Whidden, were at her home arguing about his excessive consumption of drugs and alcohol. Whidden was sitting on her couch with her dog, Harley, a three and a half year old yellow Labrador retriever mix, beside her and Flowers was yelling and acting agressive when the dog began growling at him. Flowers then grabbed a knife and stabbed the dog on it’s left side.

When police and ambulance arrived, Flowers claimed the dog bit him but there were no signs of bite marks ot other wounds on his body. He also refused to accompany paramedics to hospital to be examined. Flowers was then arrested and charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty and held on a $3000 bond.

The dog, Harley, was taken to a local Vet for treatment and is expected to fully recover physically from his wounds, although the mental and behavioral impact will certainly stay with him for some time.
