Will Britney Spears And Justin Timberlake Work On New Music Together?
There have been whispers about a Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake collaboration. But are the famous exes going to get back together in the recording studio?
According to Life & Style, the rumors are true. Britney Spears wants to work on a song with Justin Timberlake. Spears is apparently a big fan of his new song “Can’t Stop the Feeling” for his upcoming animated movie Trolls, and would like to work with him on her new album. It’s good timing since both artists are working on new music at the moment.
An alleged insider told the outlet that Britney “instantly fell in love with Justin’s new single as soon as she heard it, and has been playing it non-stop.”
“She has been dancing to it with sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James. Britney is very eager to work with Justin again, and asked her camp to reach out to Justin to see if there is any interest.”
Though her father, Jamie Spears, has tried to put an end to it, she went behind his back and reached out to Justin, who turned her down, claims the source. Britney also wishes that she was back with her former ex.
“Britney has always said that Justin was the love of her life, and wishes she could have met him at this time of her life.”
The pop star has remained single since her split from Charlie Ebersol last summer. Even though her father has been trying to set her up with a new guy, she has no interest, adds the source. Britney may look happy in her Instagram photos and videos but she is “having a very difficult time with her life right now.”
It’s not hard to imagine since the media has been speculating over Spears’ lifetime conservatorship and her ongoing legal battle with former producer Sam Lutfi. But this isn’t the first time that the pop princess has been rumored to work with her ex-boyfriend. Last month, Hollywood Life and In Touch Weekly reported last month that Spears and Timberlake were planning a secret duet at her Las Vegas residency.
“Britney called Justin out of the blue and said she wanted him to come to Vegas and do a series of concerts with her.”
The source then claimed that J.T. was “shocked” to get a girl from his ex-girlfriend.
“At first he laughed it off, but he was definitely intrigued.” The source added that Justin feels “no animosity” towards Britney despite their messy split 15 years ago when she allegedly cheated on him.
“[Timberlake] thinks Brit’s idea is a good one and that reconnecting with her would be a good idea.”
However, Gossip Cop claimed that this tabloid report was not true. The outlet was told that the story is completely “erroneous” and that Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake are not working together anytime soon.
There were also rumors swirling that Timberlake’s wife Jessica Biel forbid him from working with Spears. According to OK! Magazine, Spears reached out to him to see if he would join her on stage at her Piece of Me show as well as record a song on his new album. But the source claims that Biel “put a stop” to their rumored collaboration.
Though Justin reportedly thought “it could be fun” to work with Britney, he immediately dropped the idea when Jessica was rumored to be furious with the thought. A source told Gossip Cop that Jessica was never upset about a possible collab, especially since Britney never spoke to Justin about working with him in the first place.
