Zayn Malik ‘Still In Love With Perrie Edwards,’ Set To Dump Gigi Hadid For Ex-Fiancée?

It seems as though Zayn Malik could potentially be reconciling with his ex-girlfriend Perrie Edwards, who he is still said to be communicating with, according to reports.

The former One Direction singer infamously broke up with Perrie last year, and the split was pretty nasty, to say the least. Edwards made it known that Malik didn’t even bother telling her the news in person — she found out via a phone call, which made the breakup all the more devastating for her.

Zayn’s decision to move on from Perrie came as a shock to fans since the twosome had already been planning their summer wedding followed with the news that they had recently made a down payment for a house out in the U.K.

Just months after the split, Malik was seen spending a considerable amount of time with model Gigi Hadid, who would eventually become his girlfriend. And while the duo seemed to be on good terms with one another in recent weeks, reports allege that Zayn cannot seem to oppress the feelings he still has for Perrie.

According to Life & Style magazine, the “Pillowtalk” singer is still keeping in touch with the Little Mix band member. The source goes as far as to mention that the two speak with one another from time to time, and it seems that the conversations they’ve been having made Zayn realize just how much he misses being with Perrie.

“Gigi keeps catching Zayn talking to his ex-fiancee Perrie Edwards,” the insider gushed. “Zayn is just not sure he can fully commit to her. He’s enjoying his fame and may want to keep his dating options open. They’re definitely on the rocks.”

Zayn and Perrie were together for almost three years, so the fact that he suddenly feels some sort of remorse for how the relationship ended doesn’t come as a surprise. During their time together, Edwards often mentioned how excited she was to marry the love of her life, claiming that she could not see herself being with anybody else but Zayn.

On top of this, since their split last year, Edwards has remained single, presumably in the hopes that she will eventually reconcile with Zayn, which currently seems to be the case.

The news regarding Zayn possibly wanting to get back with Perrie comes just months after reports confirmed that the singer’s debut single “Pillowtalk” was actually written with Edwards in mind.

If Zayn and Perrie were to reconcile, it is unclear whether the two will jump back into wedding planning mode since the source did stress that Malik wants to make his career a priority. The singer could potentially be going on tour later this year, so the idea of then also planning a wedding will be too overwhelming.

If Zayn Malik and Perrie get back together, they’ll take it slow and just enjoy being back together again. The supposed fact that they are already speaking to one another again is a clear sign that Malik misses his ex-girlfriend and possibly wants her back.
