Ramona Singer Spills The Beans: How Much Does Sonja Morgan Drink?

Ramona Singer has been very vocal about her friend’s drinking on The Real Housewives of New York. Singer expressed concern about Sonja Morgan’s drinking, and she hinted that her friend and co-star was losing complete control over her life. It’s no secret that Sonja has been drinking quite a bit, as she’s been spotted around the streets of New York, intoxicated and hanging out with all different kinds of people. Ramona has expressed concern, but she does so in a way that seems very judgmental.

According to a new Bravo report, Ramona Singer is now revealing why she’s so concerned about her friend. Singer hints that Sonja has gone through quite a bit over the years and drinks way too much. Ramona is concerned about her friend, as she’s seen a change in Morgan’s behavior.

“I am so close to Sonja, though it does not seem so at this time. I do care about her so very, very much. Sonja has been through so much in the past five years with her divorce and working out her lawsuits, and I understand why at times she would drink,” Ramona reveals, sharing that they do all drink on occasion, “We all drink socially on and off the show, but when someone is showing a constant lack of control of their own behavior and are not being themselves, it’s time to say something. What do I do when all her friends are noticing it and are now alienating her?”

Of course, Ramona Singer herself does drink quite a bit, and her co-stars have made references to her being an alcoholic on previous seasons of The Real Housewives of New York. That’s why so many people are calling her hypocritical, as she also knows how to drink quite a bit. But Singer sees their situations as being very different.

Over the years, Sonja has dealt with a divorce, a massive personal bankruptcy, and the public intoxication. It makes sense that she would resort to drinking to forget her personal pains and problems, but Ramona was afraid that she was pushing it too much. She was scared that her friend couldn’t balance it all.

“Sonja, at times, doesn’t react well to alcohol. Due to my talk with her, she stopped drinking during our Christmas break and now is back to the Sonja we all love,” Ramona Singer reveals, adding that she was scared about Luann De Lesseps moving in with Sonja. “Sonja has always told me when Luann is around they stay up to the wee hours of the morning drinking together, and many times when on vacation with them, I’ve had to drag Sonja away from Luann to make sure she would stop and go to sleep. Luann would get angry at me for this, and that’s why I questioned the healthiness of Luann living with Sonja.”

Of course, Luann is very upset with Ramona Singer’s comments about her own partying and drinking. But she’s single and has nothing to lose. Plus, she seems to be able to hold her alcohol much better, and she’s a perfectionist when it comes to hiding the things she does when she’s drunk. Sadly for Morgan, there’s nothing that’s hidden. Bethenny Frankel has previously expressed concern about her co-star, as she felt that Sonja was mixing drugs and alcohol. She felt that she saw a train-wreck happening and wanted to save her friend before it was too late.
