Wage War In ‘GTA V’ This Week With Big Online Savings On All Military Vehicles

As part of Rockstar Games’ ongoing effort to provide Grand Theft Auto V players with new content, the developer is currently holding yet another event-filled week of bonus rewards and in-game discounts for GTA Online. This week-long celebration, known as Combat Week, is specifically designed to help users become more prepared for war.

From now through Friday, Grand Theft Auto Online fans can enjoy huge savings on any of the title’s military vehicles thanks to a 25 percent off sale for the entire stock at the Warstock Cache and Carry website which can be accessed from inside the game. The discount extends for everything from the Rhino tank to the Turreted Limo.

“Squad up and be ready to hit the streets of Southern San Andreas with everything you’ve got. For the next seven days it’s Combat Week in GTA Online, featuring big discounts on heavy artillery and military vehicles from Warstock. The fine people at Merryweather & Ammu-nation are also contributing to the carnage with sales on select goods & all services. Should you be a little light on cash or RP, there’s Double GTA$ & RP available for playing In and Out (including 3 brand new maps just released today to try out) and Double RP on plenty more modes besides.”

To go along with the military vehicle sale, gamers can also order any Merryweather security services in GTA Online for half off this week. The sale covers hiring mercenary backup, ammo drops, targeted airstrikes, and more.

Rounding out this week’s sales, all ammunition and body armor purchases are also currently discounted within Grand Theft Auto Online. By keeping ammo cheap, along with the other military hardware and services, Rockstar Games is hoping to make players more willing to engage in battles to help Combat Week live up to its name.

To help users further engage in warfare, many of GTA Online‘s competitive modes are also currently paying out twice the normal amounts of cash and RP upon completion. These bonus rewards can be earned from any Adversary Mode, deathmatch, Last Team Standing, or capture mode.

In addition to existing matches, the bonus payouts also affect the three new maps that were added to In and Out Adversary Mode last Friday. The PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions of Grand Theft Auto V were updated late last week to include three more maps for the game’s newest Adversary Mode which includes new locations such as the Grand Senora Desert, Dignity Village, and the Los Santos International Airport.

Anyone who has played Grand Theft Auto Online lately has likely noticed that Rockstar Games has tried to keep fans satisfied with plenty of in-game events similar to the current Combat Week. While detailing their upcoming plans for the game, the developer announced last week that they intend to continue to hold more events for GTA Online in the future.

As the Inquisitr recently reported, Rockstar Games also outlined what some upcoming DLC updates will bring to GTA V over the next several months. Besides hosting frequent online events, the developer plans to continue to regularly release new Adversary Modes throughout the rest of the year. The game’s next big content update will also give users the ability to own their own warehouse which can be used for the purpose of storing and selling illicit contraband. Rockstar also hinted that players will be able to attack each other’s warehouses, but specific details for how this will work have not yet been revealed.

The Grand Theft Auto franchise has always been a big seller for Rockstar Games and publisher Take-Two Interactive, and GTA Online has expanded upon that success by providing a steady income years after launch as players continue to make digital purchases within the ever-expanding game.

As the developer continues to offer online discounts, what would you like to see on sale in GTA V?
